Honestly I'm not sure how Ashes is an evolution of Supreme Commander, it is a good game, and one I love, but it feels like a step backwards in most regards to me. It lacks a Commander unit. It lacks multiple tiers of Engineers. and it lacks the expanding battle fields of Supreme Commander. What it does do well, is the ability to build units directly to an army once you get second and third tier units.

Alright, I wasn't in beta, I didn't see where this game was going, all I read was a lot of great battles (1000s of units) , great feats of magic, and the successor of MOM. What I got was a very disjointed game, the tech system doesn't seem to flow fluidly, why do we need to research armor before weapons, they apply two different philosophies, the Sovereign an excellent character at the beginning of the game just doesn't cut it mid to late game, in fact your

I don't think you need a mechanic to discourage cities, that's just stupid in my opinion, If I want to make a kingdom I'd want a Very big one, 40+ doesn't sound bad to me, what we need is some way to automate that. Not get rid of it.
