When the hurricane wiped out all those houses in the Southern US, they did not tell everyone to wait until they could build them a new 3 bedroom 2.5 bath house with all the modern appliances in it, they put them in trailers. Very low tec. If we ever colonize Mars, we will not start out by building the latest version of the Toyota factory. We will start with something small and expand. I guess I'm not looking at it from a tec point of view but rather a scale point of view like some of the other

Someone else brought this up and at the time I thought just ok. Now that I am far into the game I see this as a must have change. We have to be able to build old buildings. I just conqured a planet and used Titalwave to do it. Well I took the planet with most of its building destroyed and when I went to rebuild the factory it is going to take 400 turns. That's crazy! I should be allowed to start with the lvl 1 factory and build my way up. Please all
Turns is what I ment.
I think a new rule should be added to Pease Treaties. I think that a Pease Treaty should be for a period of 10 years. If one side or the other breaks a Peace Treaty they lose 1,000 Influence Point to the other side for every year left in the 10-year deal. So, if you make peace with someone and break it the next turn they receive 10,000 IPs and you lose 10,000 Ips. If you break it 5 turns later, its 5,000 Ips and so on.
There is a new option with the patch that does not strip off the weapons, sensors and armor. With this option the computer will not get confused. It knows the location, size and facing, all it has to do is remove the old and replace with the new. I not only wish to save clicks but brainpower. As it is right now, you can only tell what type of weapon, sensor and armor a ship has by the graphic. I can't tell the difference from a Sensor I and a Senso
With the last patch ship design upgrades have become much easier; however, I think one more change is needed. In the row at the top where it shows ship components make it so if I click on a component that has an upgrade available a little upgrade button becomes available. If this button is clicked on, the component is upgraded but keep in the same location and the same size. For example I’ve built a ship with Laser I but have researched up to Laser V
1. A Quick Start on the Menu that will launch the game with previous settings with one click and a confirmation click. 2. If you change the trade because of people complaining about the color code, please make it an option. I like it the way it is. The way I figure it my experts who are doing the trading would know the true value of the trade. Its just very frustrating playing the guessing game, at lest for me. 3. I would like to see more o
I'm having the same problem in a two-planet system but with me it’s the home planet of the Race I'm attacking. I thought there was maybe a special rule. Sounds to me like some kind of bug with two planet systems. I hope it clears up or I'll never be able to defeat that race. I would like to add that I've defeated all ships in orbit and have transport fleets full of marines. I took the f
LOL I would just like to be able to log on without going to my e-mail account and pasting in the verification link. By the way, the wife went to bed a little early last night so I though I would get a few turns in. Next thing I knew my daguther was asking me why I was up so late. It was 2AM.
Well at lest you guys can post. I can never log on. I've tried support and all I get is your account is active. I love the game and want to participate in the discussions but I have to create a new account every time I want to post something. I now have 4 accounts. Maybe I'm missing something simple. It’s funny because the form I filled out asked fro my nickname, which is “Kid”, and I keep showing up as SirKid, which comes from part of my e-mail addre
I only biught the downloaded verson and now I want to install the game on my laptop because I'm going out of town. However, because the downloaded version installed directly onto my CP I do not have a wat to install it on my laptop. Any Ideas?
Again thanks for the help and advice. Player please don't take offence. My comments are not meant to slam the game or players.
I've downloaded 5 games from another company, won't mention their name because I beta test for them, and I've never had this much hassle. Now I understand that its my lack of knowledge on how everything works that adds to my bad experience but, I also design web sites and computer software for the Navy and the first lesson you learn is to make things user friendly. I would not call my first experience with this system user friendly. If I click on a p
Great just great. Now I'm getting pop-up addds all over the place.
I finally found the download manager under tools. I'm downloading the game now. Still can’t figure out why I can't log onto the main web site. I have to post using the Stardock Discussion link. Thanks for the help guys. I hope everything goes better from here on out.
To late. I've already tried this stupid download.
Ok now I bought the game and the fringing site tells me you use stardock to download the game and gives me a link. When I click the link it wants to install stardock yet aging (third time now) I'm old I'm slow so I figure I must have missed something. So, I install it again. Now for the first time it wants a reboot. Ok says I. Maybe that is the problem. So I reboot load up Star Dock and can't find a single place to down load the game I just bought. Can
I'm very frustrated with trying to buy the game. I went to the web site and clicked on buy this game. It took me to a list of games to chose from and I had to hunt for GCII from a list. This was irritating because I already indicated I wanted to by the darn game. Next, when I clicked on "Add to Cart" nothing was added to my cart. After several frustrating minutes I figure out, on my own with no guidance from the store, that I have to have an account so
- AI gets more ticked off if you start a war with them after making peace. What about the AI declaring war the turn after you just paied a high price to make peace? >:(
I'm not testing 1.04 but I had to jump in. One other problem with the Declare War/Demand Peace routine is this. I was at war with three civilizations and bought off two of them, paying a very high price. The very next turn they said because I was at war with their ally, they had to go to war with me. I think these problems can be solved by offering different time frames for the deals, 1, 5 and 10 years.
Is it best to take a low amount of colonist so not to deplete the home world or should I always take half?
I have started over at least 25 times and each time in about 50 moves I have about 4 sectors of influence and the other races have about 20 to 30. What am I doing wrong? And how do you keep them from going to war with you. I never do anything and the hostility just goes up and up until they go to war with me. >:(
I will be on a trip all next week. No wife, no kids, no chores. Just me and GC! ;)
