Welcome, all the new recruits to the Republic! I finally go my Stardock Central working tonight so I can start posting again and hopefully start playing. It is Monday night, but I have to say, 'Are We Ready for Some GC xPack Tomorrow!?!' I know I am; plus I hope it makes some of the menial tasks much simpler. Admiral, I do not believe the Dev's check that too often with everything else going on. I submitted one at the beginning of the month but have not seen it yet. Plus, I don't know if there is some kind of criteria or testing they do on them also. Of course, I could be totally wrong here. - Count Dooku ~SDC~

Having been away for a while (busy with work, aka damn viruses, and home, aka school started, aka kids getting used to homework again), I am just now noticing how many new members we have in our empire and how long it has been since I played. I just want to welcome all the new members, enjoy the great game, and try to knock off all the other empires so we can acquire the first place spot. Lofty goals, I know. Question: I know that I have read a couple of times that you can resubmit a game once or twice that you have won but have an earlier saved version of it. On the last game that I won, I have it setup for a Military victory only; my question is, can I reload it from a save point, keep playing it (since I won too early, and submit it again later on if it is a military victory again? I normally pick about half good and half evil choices. However, the last game I played, I picked all good choices and was suprised at the good techs that come with it. I ended up researcing all tech before I killed everyone off to see what kind of score I would get and it was high IMO for a medium normal game. I dont know if it was because I was pure good or researched all the techs or both. I remember reading Ray talking about how his evil scores were lower that his good scores. Dont remem

Just finished my game I started today and it will be the last time I get to play for a while I think. What do you guys think about more planetary statistics? Example, if you take over a planet, how many humans and the race of the civ you took over. Any kinds of modifiers for a planet that has more humans that aliens or vice versa; maybe shipping some humans to your planet to start a good human base. Anyway, it is probably too much management and detail, plus I am tired as hell.

I'm hoping to finish work early so I can get a good one in before I go out of town this weekend. But the good news is that my boss is on vacation next week and I will be 'working in the lab' all week. OT: What, in your opinion, is the best LCD flat panel monitor for gaming in the 17" $800 and below range.
