Evil Steve I agree a tournament for everyone would be cool, though a little impossible right?
i'm thinkin' quite simple - Stardock spills all the empires at the end of a 'championship season' (rewards could be based on top 25, top 25-50, top evil player etc) ie all players are unaligned and all player scores set to zero - all active empires have to reform, recruit etc and restart within the same current league mechanism. Obviously inactive players remain unaligned, and in

thanx to The Tineans we iz no 2!!! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :HOT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
how about cuttin' straight to the patch? h'actually that'd probably just delay the inevitable...
even on the simplest level, the league should not be ongoing oi reckon - some empire/player should be crowned Meta Champ for 2003, then we spill, trade players, form new empires and start afresh - first one to get the 2M/500K wins, or a time limit. but i'd also like to see a Meta Game play out... i iz greedy today ;)
what do you think the problem is?
nothing certain, just that the 'vibe' is fairly quiet, and options to create drama are limited to players only, and a lot of these options have been 'done', so to speak, and so it feels a bit 'tired'. I haven't been here from the beginning. I kinda joined just after the Freedom Force/POSSe thingy, so my thoughts aren't necessarily from a font of experience. It is likely, as with most things, that it just a flux, but just been wondering wh
well it just struck me that it might be possible that the map plays out like a galciv universe, like you said, with an emphasis, of course, only on culture and influence. then 'itchy feet' syndrome would be affected by the 'game', you know, the Meta might say "Evil Steve, you az lived on the edge (of the Anzacs) too long, u iz findin' that the Posse iz exertin an unusual amount of h'influence, and u iz joinin"...ie players points are say "population"?, ranks are "PQ"? see i iz stupider
Sense a general rise in 'itchy feet/paw syndrome' and was wondering whether a discussion about improving the Metaverse (an integral part of the GalCiv Game) might be in order, perhaps starting with that map! i always az stupid ideas, so i'll go last... ;)
YEGADS. missed all the fun too... (:( hey wombie, i think a loota perps got the itch. maybe the meta needs a tweak? ;)
yeah cotal, between the Lime Spider and the Polish Vodka, is a woman of supreme intellect ;) :CONGRAT:
Geez...you asked for that, Steve!
sure did! LOL still recovering from 'appearing' in thursday's MX. :sniff!: the tramride home was harrowing LOL SLW you could start being an aussie by joining the ANZACs.... ;)
I see you are in your correct place again...two paces behind me.
a run-up? very 'flamboyant'. ;)
Anyhow, if I were to pull a mayito it wouldn't be to ANZAC, that I can say with certainty
and here was me thinkin' we was so warm and cuddly... (:( LOL
Feels like I'm fighting a one-man war against ANZAC here
indeed why resist - special mates rates to join!!! ;)
nicolas, suggest you post this in the Bug Report 1.10.072 thread at the top of the page. more likely to be picked up by stardock. :)
Right now, players are being compensated very handsomely for ending the game a certain way and the emphasis should be on HOW it was played all along.
couldn't agree more gerakken - i'd like to see the AI respond to player choices for victory conditions - eg alliance tech is not attainable if alliance is switched off or, the AI, with the knowledge that it's military victory only, treats alliances with the same 'respect' as the player... :)
