I think Killa Koala's idea is a good one! I don't know what would be involved in trying to granting medals retroactively, but if a medal to drengin subscribers could be instituted, I think it would be a fantastic marketing ploy. I bet it would bring in quite a few new members... not to mention increase the cash flow to the company. It is always nice to see your accomplishments rewarded, and new awards would be nice. I agree that it seems that the age bracket of those involved here are higher than those of some other game forums. While I am sure there are some youngsters involved in playing GC (and more power to them!), I think there are on average older gamers playing the strategy titles that don't have the "shoot-em-up" or "hack-and-slash" aspects that seem to draw the pre-teen crowd. Our empire is slowly gaining on position #9. I'll see if I can't get in a game tomorrow in the daytime, but I'll be out of the loop monday night. I agree that a month is a good timeframe for measurement. If no one submits in a month, I doubt anyone will. Even a gigantic map doesn't take a month (though sometimes I wonder if it might ;) ) We can all let it ride itself out for the next couple of weeks, and I am sure that the "dead empire" listing will show it's true colors. I agree... we can climb another spot or two if a couple more active players join us. I abandoned my solo empire effort and joined this fledgling empire. I agree with Ray... it is in keeping with our theme if we had the very evil icon as our empire icon... people would see it and it would be quite distinctive...
