I also watched the video of our game. My opinion is that DasUnding played better, more diversely. I was constantly on edge, getting supply lines cut on multiple occasions and attacked with air and orbital powers. The thing that won me the game and that got somewhat overlooked is resources. I did very well in reaching the corner - spawn location - nodes and controlling 1 or both through middle and late game therefore the metal income difference was substantial. Again - compliments to DasU
A huge problem in my oppinion is that sometimes the aircraft disappear and appear on a total different location that makes the handling very strange vor phc and sub.
More so - they during the glitch time - they are carried straight to wherever they were facing sometimes meaning often going into opponent's AA a full screen forward.
I haven't had the chance to play much after the most recent patch. Had a funny case vs PHC where I was like "Fury... kk will get some sky cleansers, keep the constructors together to heal each other" and he just plowed my initial two constructors... than a few more :D Anyways I won but still it was very stressful to lose 4 constructors. More seriously on the topic: Frogboy, About Starcraft analogies - both oracle & reaper cases require micro skills. You are n
Hello, My name is Danail. I am from Bulgaria. 26 years old. I work as process engineer. I do sports - cycling, running and read (listen to) audiobooks - fantasy & work related. I have played many strategy games and mostly enjoy such with interesting economy models. Had a few years of serious Starcraft 2 gaming but the game lost me with continuously increasing value of fast fingers over brains.
I am claiming injustice that Punisher requires more tech than Hades. Now seriously, building factory and than air factory as PHC allows you to get a Fury, about 40 seconds after the Substrate player gets a dominator, while building early expansion force from the factory and capturing the 3rd node before the substrate player. (depends somewhat on the number of metal extractors at headquarters and first node. As substrate I get 2nd assembly right after the constructor finishes t
I won't bite into SC2 comparisons. Back on the topic: I am able to get Dominator out of my Assembly ~2:50 about earliest on the same map. Tried PHC - able to get Fury out of my Air Factory 3:30 - that's first try.
I am having trouble understanding one thing - if You and few others that very actively are trying to sell the claim that substrate is much more powerful than PHC why don't you just switch to playing Substrate? That video only shows that it is possible to lose very badly as PHC doing "the strategy" and being metagamed by Substrate player. As substrate opening dominator & avatars delays typical expansion rate significantly and has a payoff value by punishing the factory opene
I would like to reference a few other games where the flexibility of a given race is much higher than AotS's Substrate: - Starcraft => Zerg - Larvae - morphs into all units - 0 to max units in 20 seconds is possible. - Grey Goo => Goo - Small/Medium Protean morphs into anything anywhere on the map & has combat ability & all terrain maneuverability. The production capacity's flexibility is an obvious thing to give or take between different ra
Just a thought on the continuing nerf on T1 and why it seems generally bad to me & why PHC suffer more from it than Substrate: T1 units used to be feasible as fringe-map meta units - taking nodes from creeps and eventually contesting an over-reached enemy while the main battle was being fought in the shortest path. Both the increase in cap of node guards from 8 to 20 (if I remember correctly) and the nerf of hp and shields of T1 units made that less effective. Now I am better off spe
This is not defenders off. I am showing in the screenshot that it is possible to capture 3 nodes with engineers before 1:00. I did not edit in paint put if I had I would point to: 1. Game timer 1:00 2. Mini-map - 3 regions captured.
Hello. I have been playing the game for ~a week, ~25 hours. It was a big moment when I realized I could be grabbing the two first nodes within the first minute with engineers, before creeps had spawned. Today I figured I could grab even three. It is rather slim margin but definitely repeatable. Wondered if it is common knowledge (could't find anything relevant with search) or something that is not supposed to happen? http://
