No. They do not. It is bad game design to have one unit able to do all. Having dreads should not make obsolete T2 units. Having T2 should not make obsolete T1 units.
No resource Cap is HUGE help & also raises skill floor. Previous version of the game was demanding due to the constant pressure to adequately manage economy or else get punished by loosing resources. Now I can play poorly (due to learning the game & finding optimal development paths) and any inefficiency results in stockpile. I have explored the options for RX 480 and even tried for some time 1060 - the problem is that the current pricing is kind of bad, at least for (eastern) Europe and they are both grossly overpriced IMO. A decent 480/1080 - MSI/Strix is close to 350 Euro and hardly worth it. I am very much interested in any information about dual (cheap) gpu tests - any info on that?
Hello, I am currently using R9 270 2GB and considering whether to spend 300 euro on 1060 nvidia/amd 480 and go single gpu or get another gpu like my present and save 150-200 euro by going dual and getting similar performance. I was looking into DasUndying's topic about the guy. Watched the replay and did some calculations. Dude used about 490 quanta by 10 minute mark and in skirmish I did my best to rush quanta and got only about 400. Seemed suspicious but thought I could be missing something - extra 100 quanta is probably possible. Now 8 500 quanta is a whole different story :)
I would be very curious to look at those statistical analyses even better some (raw) data. Sharing with the community the arguments for certain decisions or satisfaction with current state would be beneficial.

I am literally sick of playing 10 minute games where the PHC bot goes metal 1st with smarties and factories and I go bombers. Single player AI can be tough and challenging. Unfortunately somebody just picked simple easy difficulty AI and placed it in multiplayer.
I'd rather wait 15 minutes for a game than waste time killing beginner level AI. You thought that you were solving a problem with long waiting times - no, you created boredom. Take it down and maybe consider implementing it with some customization & options. Examples would be: - Enable/Disable - Difficulty level of bot - Race of bot - Chose a map to play the bot on.

Air is crap. Truly. Unless stopping at target range and forcing stationary behavior air is random and annoying to use. Also PHC anti-air turret has ridiculous hit chance. Either lower damage or decrease accuracy. New units won't solve the problem. Reworking air mechanics would. Based on having a case of dreadnought just getting launched as a swarm of hades tried to attack my nexus and got murdered by dominators & air defense with the dread just being in the area and getting to lvl 4 I would say - being in the area of something getting killed rewards experience.
It is a nice gamble mechanic. Makes the player think - can I charge this army with my dread and hope to get lvl-up before I get killed or not. In my opinion the instant heal is one of the few notable advantages making it worthwhile to use dreadnoughts. Both PHC & Substrate have enough potential in their T2 units to wipe dreads rather quickly and effeciently and it should be either instant heal (as is) or increase in (doubling of) dread HP starting lvl 1.
