Brad, I have bought most of the games you have made since 2005. Your rep for improving games over time (GC2....) is pretty well established for this paying customer. I get that you guys were smacked around because WOM did not meet hopes/expectations and had too many problems. FE is on the right track to realizing most of what I personally had imagined for WOM. Other than the scale of battles, I can see this turning into pretty much

This reduction in exp. for debuffing opponents is not exactly a bug. It may be a "feature", as in, part of playing with death spells is you kill stuff easier, but because it is easier you get less exp and loot by design. Oh... and I realize this is a beta. I am happy to comment on what I see. As far as uploading and debugging... sorry, I have a budget for time I get to PLAY. Real life AKA 60 hour work weeks, 185 mile commute, and full time g

I suppose... or just try on your own using the early "Wither" death spell a few times in a combat... and compare the tiny amount of experience to that of not using the spell... or do the same thing with "shrink" life spell.

Sean- yep, I am sure. Fought the same battle 4 times. First time, used "Dirg" spell with my 9 death shards, instakilled a "strong" party for 1 exp. My sov had the 10% bonus... and still got 1 point. Second battle, used the spell that reduces constitution, strength, etc.. just 1 time, ended up with 17 for the sov, 14 for everybody else (and 1 of my champs fell in battle). Third time, used that spell twice. Cleaned up. 1 exp. for everyb

Guys, longtime lurker. What do you think of the following: I noticed that using death spells like "dirge" results in wayyy less exp. Combined with how exp in general has been nerfed, I don't know if I like this or not. On the one hand, getting only 1 exp for killing a "strong" group because you killed them with 2 spells kind of makes sense. On the other, it greatly favors other sorts of majic... especially life majic buffs th

Real world consequences are tough, especially now. Taking responsibility for "your disasterous judgement" is rather valiant of you, but I think that much of the criticism is overblown. I have been playing the game and really enjoying it for what it is. When I see posts like Mtrixis' UI feedback thread https://forums.stardock.com/393693 it illuminates what the game could be... which is quite a bit

woah there... there were plenty of people whining about not being able to wait to just play beta version x... if you felt like waiting until the game is polished more, feel free. I think the criticism is a bit unwarranted. The game PLAYS, even on my 3 year old single core processor. Yep, it laaags in late turns. But not a single crash. As for bugfixes, ets. Frankly, this stuff is being whacked at the franatic rate Stardoc
This might be the longest and best forum post I have ever read.... that says a bit for a 38 year old forum addict
Agreed. I like that an SD developer already said on page 2 that he is going to sit down and give this post the long look it deserves. This could seriously speed up the development of this game. I look foward to similar posts on other areas of the game!

My hat is off to you for such a significant, well researched post. I agree with almost every critique you have made. Should the developers be able to address every issue in UI that you brought up, I am confident EWOM will be a much, much better game to play. I hope you are encouraged to deliver this level of critique (with your specific recommendations for improvement!) to the other areas such as combat, research, etc, I think frank, useful feedback will h

I was really hoping that this will be addressed quickly https://forums.stardock.com/391330 Unable to play at all so far as it stays hung up at the splash screen, and no alt +tab or anything. I had to power crash 2 times, then gave up. I am confident you will get it done, just hoping for sooner rather than later. Love GalCiv II, by the way. -ENSAIS
