Is this a bug/known issue or something I am doing wrong? When I come back from a save game I can no longer move any of my ships, it says they are too far out and have to autopilot back. But they go nowhere. Even when I build a colony ship, load it up and launch I cannot move it at all as I get the same message.

Happens all of the time, and i'm guilty of doing that quite regularly myself It does happen frequently and I take a certain amount of joy when someone who is obviously overstating their skills and capabilities are caught. I am in the software development business as well and when I hire developers (
well the concepts I have seen so far look very cool. Of course, beta 1 is missing a lot of stuff but concerning what is there it looks like it will be really cool. Hard to actually play the game, I seem to have issues when I try to load a save game but then I am not expecting much right now. AI is not there but I do not think anyone is worried about that given the track record for AI development in GC1.
thanks for the replies, I have proceeded.
Ok, saw many posts, some people upset over the "slip" of beta 2. It happens, oh well. My big question is this, I have NOT pre-purchased the game yet, but am curious. If I pre-purchase now will I be able to jump into Beta 2? Thanks
When you read: "The Australians Speak: 2005 survey, commissioned by the Lowy Institute for International Policy, found 57 per cent of Australians were "very worried" or "fairly worried" about the external threat posed by both US foreign policy and Islamic extremism." you have to wonder what drugs are those who responded as such are on. What external threat is there posed by the US? Are they worried we are going to invade? Maybe it is
but I fear you're posting the truth here I fear even more that one would believe this...
But that's by the by - the real reason I posted was to help inform your question about plot variations:-Link Thanks for the link, tis interesting!
good points, GreenReaper
That Stardock outsources anything overseas I am suprised to discover. That they "had" to outsource overseas I find hard to believe. It does not change my opinion (not that mine matters more than others) which is favorable, but I do find it interesting. I would love to know how many positions Stardock has had to outsource, ,although I do not expect a specific answer and would not blame them.
Ah, one of my favorite subjects. I have been in the software development business for 20+ years. Starting as a developer in a software company writing BASIC, assembler and C code on a variety of platforms from CP/M, TRS-DOS, Applie, CoCo's and the new fangled IBM PC. You might say I was writing software before it was cool and paid a lot. I am sure there are older but I certainly was there from the birth of the micro-computer on up when my fellow gra
One question...... when?
Good stuff. Listen, I've said it before (well at least one other place here) and I'll say it again. Evolution deals with an existing living system. It does not, cannot and will not explain where or how life began. Let the *wise* believe what they will, why bother? The fact remains, life came from somewhere not evolution. Man has tried many times to create life and the best it has ever been is some ami
You bathe in skunk urine? Why?
I hear of many being agnostic but I wonder if they realize the difference between agnostic and atheist. Agnostic by definition is a belief that you cannot know whether God exists or not. These are the "I can neither confirm nor deny" group. Sort of like hedging a bet maybe? Atheist reject the possibility of God or gods, period. Have defined the groups, I would say that the "non-believers" I meet mostly fall into the agnostic group. Very few
I am sure if people posted how crazy or irrational it is to believe buddhism, islam, karma (same as buddhism?), the force, etc. is it would receive as much, if not more criticism. Then if someone complained about it the would be "justified". Point is, it is not a Christian, Budda, etc. site. Comments are posted in the religion area of this site which would lead you to believe it should attract those with similiar views. Maybe we should go t
I would suggest to try not to play Myrrander's game. Your article was to discuss the anti-christian aspect of many, his first response was to as for proof. Maybe he is too ignorant to respond to the topic at hand but then who knows... Most of what he writes I view as a point whore trying to get hits. Just my 2 cents.
Curious, so I have to ask. So are you atheist now? No God at all? Just magical chemical mixings? Or just unsure if it is God, Karma, etc? Even the "world renowned" atheist Antony Flew has finally realized the folly in believing that there is not intelligent design. Typically I see people reject the dogma but not the concept. There are those however who hold to the true atheist point of view of no god, no possibility of god. They
Bring on the vouchers, then you can send your kids anywhere you want that teaches what you want.
do share your solution Cyanide, please.
Man, I hate to ask but why would you not use IE?
can't wait for beta either, but how to get a hold of it. That is the question.
Good job Left! You look like whining fools again !
Yeah, I heard ole fatty was making another drama. This is good news for the republicans.
The original post and the mentality behind it is exactly why Bush won. Keep it up.
