The last row for item database pop up are cut of by bottom of browser. Not sure if it is just me, but im running in 1680X1050. I tried full screen and lots of intermidiates. The artifacts row is just to close to the bottom of the browser's botton scroll bar.
Rhah
Very nice. You should request to get sticky.
I still get a huge laugh out the pirates hurt the reviews!! :) Oh ya it had nothing to do with the state of the game at release or taking 2 patches to fix multiplayer and it still has problems. Now Frogboy is even talking about limiting connecting people by region. Oh ya its the pirates, it has noting to do with the coding or the state of the product.... Think before you speak...
Demigod3k I 100% agree with you, but in my post I was trying to get the idea out of ppls heads that pirates were the cause of the bad reviews. After reading that I was practically laughing out of my chair considering the state of the game.
I will never give up :), but if I am in a team and I am the only one wanting to play still I will conceed to the mass majority :(
The reduced scores given by major reviewers caused by 100,000+ cheapskates probably lost them even more.
How can this be the reason for bad reviews. Its been what a 1 or 2 weeks now after release of 2 patches and multiplayer is still not working correctly... Nice to blame pirates, for a product that should not have been released in this state.. There is obvious problems with connection routines or just a bad toolkit integration for network play. And it was alrea
Why wittle down the ability to find more players to play games with (limiting to region??). P2P is an awesome technology. I can sustain 1mb connections with ppl all over the world using p2p with no problems I live in Texas and I connect to ppl in japan, germany, sweden, france, south america, canada, ect.. You need to fix your connection routines... Or you are using a horrible toolkit...
I think their main concern right now is multiplayer connection problems. I think bug fixes will come next. So I believe they are maybe marking these down for future reference or just ignoring them all together and we will have to revisit these things once the more important things are ironed out.
/sign Very well put
I agree auto retry would be awesome.
If a player is droped I think it is recording wrong. Look in the sticky thread above for the patheon ladder there is 10 pages or so posts, but it discusses possible reasons for messed up stats. I had 2 games not even show up that I won.
This is not your issue then. I know it was a long shot. ;) I don't know how it affects multiplayer I have only seen it happen in single player, and I don't play Oak much in multiplayer only 2 times. But since its placing a flag I would assume it would be in both sp and mp, but it should not affect other players just the player placing the flag I would suspect.
I just played a game after the new patch. It started well. Near the end it froze, I thought a player had dropped. It hard restarted my PC.
Where you playing Oak and were you placing a flag. I have crashed to desktop twice now no messages. I think it has something to do with collisions of flag and units or structures near me.
I dont know many products that are allowed to be pushed out before being fully ready... therefore forcing the consumer to wait until the product is ready, yet have paid money...
Majority of all games being released in the last 10 years. There is no standard and no accountability. But I have major faith in stardock for their past quality. This is just one bad release of many great and successful releases.
I have no faith in windows firewall or windows vista ;)
Also with the favor point problem, not sure if this is known or not but I had played single player almost 20 hrs before going to multiplayer. I had all my favor items purchased and a lot of excess favor points. I went to play multiplayer I made about 200 or so favor points. Went back to single player when the servers went down last friday night and my single player favor points matched my multiplayer points of around 200 and I all purchased favor items were not purchased any more.
Another problem with pirating-as-a-demo is that if you've never played the legitimate game, how do you know your pirated copy is even the same game? What if something has been changed either intentionally or unintentionally that makes it different?
Intentionally is usually found very fast and is flag as such. Unintentionally usually never happens maybe .001% after been distributed and if it does its usually fixed pret
I have not played lan yet, but I have played sp and mp modes. I had all the single player favor items. I played multiplayer. I went back to single player and all my favor items are now not purchased and favor points in single player are matching favor points in multiplayer. This is not seperate pools, but I really do believe it was intended to be seperate.
I seen it also with QoT and the fire/ice dude (sorry char name escapes me) It feels alot like a pathing issue, but thats just my gut instinct.
I like the favor items and favor points as my post above states.. What I really would like though is more diversity of favor items per a character and more favor items over all. For me at least some favor items are worthless for a particular charater where others are very suited to that same character. For instance for a particular char only have those favor items that would be benefical to that char show in the list. Its fun to play around with them for different builds.
BCX one more thing you might want to avoid, in the character select screen in single player (I don't remember if its there for multipler, but i don't see why it would be different there) QoT takes about 1/3 to 1/4 the screen but its not the same angle of the image as the promo box image. Its partial side view for waist down and almost frontal view for waist up and image is kinda animated flying with wings. I just thought of this and loaded up single player right fast to confirm before posting
mine didn't carry to multiplayer either from what i understand its not supposed to, but it defiantly shouldn't be resetting em either if you jump back and forth between multiplayer and singleplayer like it is now.
currently at least for me when I gained favor points in single player (I had all favor items), played mutliplayer for a bit, now single player favor points were non existant. I played for sometime aquired some items, went back to multiplayer and they are messed up there again. Seems single player and multiplayer favor points are not kept track of seperatly and something to due with multipler it doesn't like to use the single player aquired favor points. Its a bug and many ppl have talked abou
I am not saying I agree with him/her, but hay its his/her beliefs and who are we to make him/her explain themselves. The request was simple him/her recieved an acceptable response (QoT is not seen well unless super zoomed in). Why are we still hashing this out. It seems we are overly bored and looking for some action lol. Just my 2 cents. Be respectful to his/her beliefs.. Now on a personal note yes I am overly amuzed by this whole thread and is why i have been reading it lol.
In my experience only about 10 mp games so far and over 20 hrs in single player favor items don't really make much difference in a game. I have won 7 (fat fingered kb) games and lost 3. The only times I have lost is when I am in a game with a team mate that doesn't play as a team (rare) or the opposing team just was very good and worked very well together. Just my person belief.
