Theoretically the meta score is the following I think: (Sum of all game scores)/(square root of number of games played) So for example: 9 games with total score of 90.000 divided by 3 = 30.000 But that's not always true, just in most cases:) So it gives a good estimation:)

I just continued the same game, and finished it in two more years with influence victory (twice as many pop, and a few more techs), 6600 points. So it seems if alliance has a *9 multiplier and the influence *8, the base scores are 780 and 825.. maybe I'll try a military conquest for the same game.. Hopefully it will be 900*10 :) ~SDC~

Hmm... this scoring system is still strange for me.. I finished a painful game yesterday, and it scored just 7040 (with alliance victory). Until this time my challenging games scored 7500 (with influence victory). I won the game in 2193.. was it too qiuck? Should I wait a few years and let the pop. grow and research a lot of stuffs? I finished the challenging ones in about 2200. ~SDC~

I also have sometimes the problem, that GC crashes, but just in the late game. (I loaded the game on an other machine, and it crashed on it too.) After reloading I always made the same moves with my ships, made the same changes on the planets etc., and I had the crash again and again. But when I just pushed end turn, everything went ok!! And then I could make the changes that I wanted a turn before, and still no crash:) ~SDC~

I won almost all of my games with cultural victory. But I don't think, the bonus in the beginning is too important, since with influence-resources you can get much more bonus. You could try once to get all influence resources in the galaxy, and then get a planet in the heart of the enemy's empire. If your influence is high enough, all nearby planets will join your empire, this way starting an unstoppable chain-reaction. As I experienced, you need about at least 20% higher influence in the gi
