future newbie in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Hi everyone! I don't play the game yet, but I am really interested! There is only one thing that bothers me, it is the fact that we can only play humans; I know that we can customize them a lot, but they remain humans; we can't have some "sexy" race that would leave under high gravity, or eat minerals...for instance.... So maybe I am wrong, and I would like to know if there is some place I could find more details concerning the possibilities of customization. Thx :SURPRISED
