Now for the 1,000,000 mark. Are you up for it?
What can I say? Um . . . (gulp) not really. It's been heaps of fun! But alas, I can't really milk any more genuine enjoyment out of the game . . . even with all it's nuances it's become a little too tedious (100 games at an average of 3 hours per is alot of the one thing I guess) . . . I'm off to find that dam 'Amulet of Yendor' . . . (for the third time) . . . wish me luck, mabye I'll live to tell the tale

Thanks for your thoughts and praise folks, comitment is easy when you have a reason to try. All I ever really wanted was to see my dear ANZAC Republicans in the top three . . . Months ago we lost so many members in that 'exodus' . . . it kinda hit a nerve on some level at the time, particularly because they were mostly 'Aussies' who I thought were the main essence of this community with thier great wit and story telling. I don't think I ever giggled so uncontrolably while sitting at a

Spider Crisis resolved . . . wheew, now I know what men are for, kinda useful sometimes . . . hehe. That was a bit sexist, sorry, my adrenalin levels haven't been this high so early in the morning since I gave birth! Arobertson . . . aha! I see whats been going on now . . . hehe, looks like I missed a whole lot of fun last night LOL . PS - The Giant Spider is doing OK in the Park down the street (for those greenies like me amongst us), I didn't let my husband try and kill it .

Arobertson! Um, hi there . . . are you taking a sabatical too? We really need to open a few more coffee shops around here in the ANZAC Republicans to cope with the influx of tourism . . . hehe. Enjoy your stay, I suggest you swim between the flags and don't pat the emus, thier biters . . . Edit - OMG . . . the biggest huntsman spider I've ever seen in my life is underneath the computer table! not kidding . . . Agggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!

Great replies so far folks! I'm pretty carefully with my survey vessel and ussualy keep it out of trouble until I finish the game. THe best stats I've ever reached on it was with ver 1.05 (ages ago) . . . it was something like . . . Hit Points: 348 Attack Value: 92 Defense Value: 68 Back in those days I used to play War Party all the time though . . .

CypherPax! Thanks so much for lending us a hand, (Cotal gleefully hits print screen/screen shot of the Empires page and frames it!). :D I'm almost overcome with a feeling of deep nationalism seeing the ANZAC Republicans in third place . . . no words can express my delight! :CONGRAT: Enjoy your vacation with us CyberPax (please stay as long as you like) . . . I realize we've had a few other new recruits too . . . welcome to you all ;) . . . Someone Pinch me .

I've never seen a clear and outright cheat by the AI majors but the minors . . . well they do seem to start with alot of money. They ussualy can buy Dip' Trans' outright if you sell them the tech :)
Hasn't anyone thought of this before?
Um . . . No, well at least it never occured to me. Your right though, some of the starting positions are so unfair, this seems a way around it? I like the idea . . . :) . Would it be hard to code?

I was hoping some of you might have examples . . . In a recent game the Yor had some Excaliburs nearly twice as powerful as mine! Something like . . . Hit Points: 982 Attack Value: 268 Defense Value: 312 :( . . . owch! The best I've ever been able to produce is a 700 hp (Vet) Excalibur :notsure: [Message Edited]

I wonder with all the possible improvements (Tri-streel, exotic alloyes, Star Base Millitary enhancements, experience point bonuses . . . etc etc) how powerful a ship (esp the Excalibur) can actualy get? Hit Points: Attack Value: Defense Value:

I haven't gotten any erronous games since the expansion (or at all for that matter). I have a theory however, perhaps this whole zero score thing has to do with cheat keys . . . hear me out? I noticed that the game saves 'whatever' settings you have when you exit the game played previously, these become the default in the set up for the next game. I think somehow games are being flagged even though all the cheats are off . . . so its a coding problem introduced with the new cheat keys.
