DL'd this and really enjoy it and well done to everyone who made this. Have a few questions if you dont mind. 1-Since population is now a resource and the elves seem to be limited to 1 of each building, do you think elves will get behind in tech and money quickly? The only solution is to then build lots of elven cities, but I think at some point that would be too much. The 2 games Ive played(testing out to see if i crash) I have played about 100 season
I agree with that and as for #2 I found out something. I founded a new city and took one over and both had 0 pop. Dropped a few huts(1 each) and a few seasons later the population took off and started growing. I wonder if the pop really isnt 0 but is rounded down or something to display 0. I was concerned but after building some huts I had populaton. There was also something in the tooltip that I think said something about a housing shortage, so maybe something i
AS most everyone was, I was super excited for the new beta, partly because i love testing, and secondly just because its making this game better. I spent the first day playing and crashing about every 15 mins or so or about 20 seasons. I had prepared myself for that and spent alot of time discussing with others the features in the chat and asking questions to Cari who Im sure thought I was crazy...especially about my seeing a female character in the game and that character automat
Once they get the beta a bit more stable for me, ill be trying this out. As is, since I usually can only play for about 30 turns Im waiting for some updates and hoping.
Yup good idea and great doing it...
I usually have to move the unit I want to buff out of my army with my sov onto a square by themselves, cast the buff, then move back together. Not a good way to do things. Im sure they will fix this.
i had this bug happen to and as I tracked it down it came down to he Civ Pariden(sp?). For some reason that civ couldnt found a kingdom. The ruler was ok, when I took her with another civ, but when I used Pariden. I was in chat and Let Cari know, but another players said that civ worked fine for them. Not sure what this means. Maybe you can track it down more and we can see if its one civ in particular or it varies.
It means you have buildings that are taking or using up 10 citizens. Some(if not all) buildings now use your population as a resource and the ones I have seen take 5 each. So you have a pop of 20, but only 10 left for other buildings now...but dont worry, your population will go up and that will give yo more citizens to use in buildings or what not.
Saw you talking about this in chat today while talking to Cari, and I would be interested in it as well.
Is the plan then for enchantments to drain the global mana pool like MoM did when you cast enchantments on cities and units? I hope so. This would be a great thing to happen. I wonder then too, if you could make randoms like they had in MoM, where sometimes mana would go out, or holy would double and so on. Those kind of random events never bothered me too much as they didnt feel personally used against me for being ahead in the game. Though if the mana out event
What??!! I cant leave cities undefended...will obviously this beta needs more work then!! (/sarcasm off) Thats good to hear...actually having to defend our cities...awesome. Of course, i do wonder what he means by nasty...
ACK!!! ok well thanks for letting us know. I can now go back to....something haha!
Looks like its been awhile since any postings here. How is the progress?
Lord Frog, you are right on brand new games. Even some "new" games could be just a new twist on whats out there. You guys have stepped out and away, into the Fantasy strategy realms. I have no doubt you will get this to be where you want it and meanwhile, those of us who love to play games, love to test, and basically love games(did I say that one already?) will get to see this change and grow. I feel like an uncle, watching my brothers or sisters child be born and gro
I cant wait for this myself, as I enjoyed beta testing the game and still enjoy doing more of the same. Im awaiting for its release and would like to show my appreciation to STardock and all the people here who support it through good suggestions and feedback. If this makes me a fanboy or what not...fine with me. Ive never seen another game company that I can chat with them on their forums before. They will get this fixed and we can be along for the ride. H
Why would anyone want a "divorce" option anyway...can you imagine how much in alimony some rulers might have to pay out?? Wow..talk about having to raise taxes and all and causing peasant revolts and what not.
That is such a great picture!! Someone on your team actually drew that? WoW!! Amazing. I hve no skills to offer you but my sincerest hopes that you can make this happen. MoM, still ranks in my top 10 games and even higher in strategy type. I really hope this comes to completion.
Yup Dominions is a great game and very fun and I love the music for it. If you end up with lots of it in Elemental that would be awesome as well!
Do i add the Mods folder to the Elemental folder or is it somewhere else?
Ahh so you are following Chronicles...I was wondering about that. Been years since ive read DL, but I did like them and campaigned there as well. I was wondering where you were going to start, because the last of the DL books I had read had the Gods leaving...or at least I think they did. STill all the best wishes on this and Ill be praying for your team and your health as well.
I have no major issues with the game at all. I get a slow down as the game goes on...im at turn 200 right now, but other than that its a blast. I would give it a 9/10 as well, but like I have stated, I dont have the crashes others do, so why would I hold that against them. My gripes are small things...like caravans destroying my improvements when I go to war with their owners lol. Sneaky merchants!! You guys deserve the praise and eve
Try talkiing to the Spartans about defense not stacking...or even the Romans...Heck even the modern military could have stackable defense, just due to they way we communicate back and forth. Defense stacking makes perfect sense when you think of them as a group...not individuals. Thats why they are so deadly...they attack together, rather than just as individuals. Not to mention, you got my back, I got yours. Thus your defense would g
I just ordered from Amazon and cant wait to get this book!!
WoW!! Thats awesome! Grats on that and way to go!! Im glad to see people getting credit for helping out!
