under the "Affiliate Program" - is a questionaire you have to fill out and wait for a reponse
It make non sense for me that each skinner will have to become a WTC "partner" In fact "Affiliate Program" is DesktopX Weather Widget, and there we are, it's to Stadock to get a license / permission from WTC and give the codes to skinners who wants to do weather widgets [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
... and as far as i can understand, any kind of use of the service has to be priory authorized directly by WTC, it's not only a question of logo and link to them, that means (i think) that each skinner have to get the WTC permission to do what he wants to do, widgets or so Which section do you think indicates this?
Gef (and neophil) . . the work-around in 2a of sViz's thread is a fix for end users. It is NOT a solution for authors. The XMLreturned clearly shows that there is a licesne and copyright in place as you can see here http://xml.weather.com/weather/local/48375.
there is a code editor with the pro version
Though the code editor off course permit to do modifications, but nothing is saved (when done on that part) when leaving SKS6 after having saved modifications I don't think my system info has something to do with this trouble as it's the same on 3 different PC (XP SP3)
What money have we taken?
Stardock lives and exits because skinners bring them skins on a website called Wincustomize. Imagine whay happend if no more skinners give their work to be downloaded and if every skinner would delete all their work ? Hummmfffffffff, how will you continue to pay your monthly credit payment for your Porshe ? [e digicons]:waaaa:[/e]
are you using the gui or the code editor?
What you mean ? I'm using SKS6 with it's different properties [e digicons]:'([/e] and as said it's buggy That's why the only solution te repare the trouble is to open the .uis file with a classic text editor, but my goal here is to alert Stardock on the bug existing in SKS6 program (and to fix it [e digicons]:-"[/e] )
the roll-up is controlled by the left/right frame sections (verticle values). if your top value is 30 and the bottom value is 10 then your roll-up value would a minimum of 40.
You are perfectly right ... and that's how SKS6 should determine the rollupsize ... and it's precisely what i point out, SKS6 is giving by default the caption height to the roll-up value, and there's no way to correct it as modification on this with SKS6 is not saved ...
I disagree to create "Their Desktop Application" for TWC. First they must pay money to me for this job! So I want make my own applications. And If it became outlaw I will not upload my new gadget here but still use it only on my desktop. And no one can forbid me to do so! That's all that I have to say...
You're perfectly right [e digicons][/e] and in same spirit, if Stardock / Wincustomize don't buy / negociate a global license / rights for all hi

Let's think about this. For now it seems weather.com have recently changed their conditions of use. Why wanting to delete widgets / themes which have been done BEFORE these new rules ? new rules are not retroactive aren't they ? Though Stardock have not to delete anything done in past. They have just to leave them alone. Though members can continue to download them
Instead of giving to the authors of WinCustomize some help with the weather widgets, you have decided to delete all of them from WC! Is this a solution? Unbelievable! Does anybody cares about the thousand users who used to have them in their computer desktop? It is obvious that WC doesn't care with this solution. In the other hand, these 10 days period until you start to delete all the weather widgets from WC are not enough during the summert
THIS IS SUPER SOLUTION!!! Where did you found it?
In past time i also tried a French weather widget (and ported for it a few skins that i had done for DesktopX widget) that is also using weather.com. As i try to launch it this morning, it worked without any problem. I just found in the informations flux url and the search flux url [e digicons]:P[/e] P.S: if you want to try it / see how it works it's called "mét&eac
this doesn't help those of us outside the US. I tried to register with weather.com and there is no place to enter a non-specific US based zip code/city etc. Unfortunate
If you really want to register, just enter your Town and Country that you are using currently in widgets in the box "U.S. Zip Code or City Name *" ex: for me, living in FRANCE, i entered Trappes, FRANCE and i got the email with Partner ID and License Key <span style="font-size: lar

Another way to fix it and much more simple (independant off what version used) And here's THE solution to keep using weather.com (well at least to keep widgets OK) but without having to get any Partner ID and License Key - Load DesktopX Builder - Before importing your widget, disconnect from/turn off the internet (unplug cable, etc.) - R-click on the DX Builder icon
