I did an old mega bug thread last year https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/479189/page/1/ I decided to try again, as I had recently played the escalation campaign then spent an hour this afternoon finding as many bugs as i could. It is good to see so many bugs were fixed. There are only a few issues i'd call major left. <span style="font-size

Oh wow. Been away for a while, didn't see that notice. I guess i'll find out the multiplayer numbers soon enough then!
I have the original aots. I played it a bit. I haven't bought escalation yet. And was thinking about doing so. I have a question in relation to multiplayer numbers; - How many people are playing escalation in multiplayer? - How is the month to month churn. ie, are there more players this month compared to last? - How do the player numbers compare to the last month of aots before escalation was released. - What is the average wait ti
Game Crash Bug Game Version v1.4 Load game in DX12 mode. Click multiplayer. Unplug headsets. Plug them back in. Note: The background will freeze and stop animating. Click Multiplayer. Wait around 10 seconds. Cancel. Click Custom match Crashed 4 times in a row doing this. If i dont unplug the headsets it
I got up at 6am for this! Lets give it a shot.
I must be the only one who doesn't use strategic zoom. Please. Please add; - Hotkeys for Pause + Resume. (of construction) - Hotkeys for Production buildings. Q: Does escalation come with all previously released single player scenarios?
Try pausing those factories. If you want to pause all 6 factories... good luck with that. You can't pause more than one, unless you manually click on them all individually. There is no ctrl tab like in other games to cycle through them. Or add a new factory to the control group when one is already paused. Doesn't show up to unpause. As a different factory now has top level priority. Or try to add a new factory to a pre-existing control group when a factory is building.
Gog vs Steam has separate player bases for Multiplayer apparently. What are the percentages of players on each? ie is steam 90% and Gog 10%? Thats an important decision for new players who may wish to try out MP at some point.
Depends what you mean by stack. They dont compound, they add. Each are 20% of the base resource. 5 together will give 100% of the base, but they wont EACH give 100%.
1A) disagree. Dreadnaughts aren't units designed to do everything. Else it would just be rush to dreadnaughts and whoever gets them first wins. - Dont take on fixed defences with them when they have anti-dreadnaught buildings there. Sit just outside range and attack with other units as well. 1B) Cronus doesn't get exp? sounds like a bug? 2) Agreed. 3) Agreed in part. Although the PHC bombers require a building prior to construction.<b
Provide a description of things?
Congrats :) No worries. Edited on 18th/Oct: Was sick today, so tried the last one again on much harder. Did it in 42 mins. Rushing the middle and building dreadnaughts there and pushing towards orange while holding the path halee takes was way better. Once i had my 2nd dread, i killed Orange. While my 2nd level facts had produced enough to kill green at the same time. This was only at about the 15 min mark. The rest of the time was just making eno
Expand both ways! At the start of the game you have two very small army groups. - One should go left and up. - One should go right, which will then force them to circle around and when they reconnect, they can head towards green - with support of new factories/units.
Default CPU temps hit 70 at normal with the default intel cooler etc etc. This is fine and is used by gazillions of people with no issues. Most CPU's will outlast their usefullness well before they actually die. CPU's get into trouble when they hit the 90's. This only happens with the default cooler in both extreme conditions and extreme use, or if overclocked without better cooling options. Your temps are fine.
Just tried easier. Finished it, in just under 30 mins. I think i could probably get that down to 20-25. I realized that only halee is actually protected by any anti-spells. So you can probably kill the other two with magic only. I didn't do that in this run though. - Basically the same strat. But my start was faster. - The two starting armies just went their diff ways. One to the left, one to the right. I then built 2 adv facts to the left a bit. - FYI. a single fa
Just finished it on the 'much harder' option. - skip all intros/conversations as fast as possible. i seem to remember time doesn't stop when they play.... stupid.... lets give the enemy 1 minute head start... - take first 2 nodes fast, leave 1 unit there, send your other units to capture next nodes (they wont quite make it by 1min, but you get them super fast after first spawn) - keep leap frogging other bases. - ignore them when they say 'this plateau i
I've been thinking a bit more about this issue, and have a different proposal. Your biggest issue is the number of players. Which is massively constrained by graphic card users who also like RTS. So; - Graphically gimp the game. Remove zooming. Remove awesome graphics. Animations. Everything. Remove anything intense. Have them all use the same attack animation. Whatever is needed to
Eight is overkill, particularly for a non-full priced game. Considering the video card requirements, you have a limited user base anyway, and anyone who can afford a 100$ (2nd hand min cost for your minimum requirements) to 300$ new card can afford a $25 game. Thoughts; - Two keys is more than enough. Perhaps if the user you gave it to buys the game then you get your key back to give out again? - Ensure that even when they load into the gam
I played on whatever the hardest difficulty is. I actually found one of the middle levels more difficult. I wasn't very good at the game then though. I can't even remember the last mission. I just got a new video card, so i might jump on tonight and have a go to test it out. Will let you know. Edit: Just googled a video of the last mission. I remember it now. - Hold high ground in middle uppish region, whi
Entirely possible. He seemed to think it was okay. However the map not updating correctly doesn't seem like lag. Lag/latency should slow the game down as movements get sent to the other player at increasingly longer intervals. And you'd expect it to be equally distributed amongst both players. I thought of another partial bug that has annoyed me before. Qanta - Turret Vision This is partial u
I was stupid enough to play a game today. Game Sync Bug Again + Map not updating Game starts. Nothing moves. It was taking 9 seconds between giving a unit an action, and when the command was executed. Obviously capturing multiple starting nodes becomes impossible. Doing anything of value is near impossible. Units just sit in the factory at 100% complete, then magically appear at their rally point a few scr
I should look at graphs more.
Yeah i have a serious problem in 'Quiting to Menu' instead of just surrendering. So I keep failing to see the end game graphs.
Google: Ashes of the singularity Trainer First two links. Based on the comments in those threads I presume they work. http://mrantifun.net/index.php?threads/ashes-of-the-singularity-trainer.5774/ http://www.gamecopyworld.eu/games/pc_ashes_of_the_singularity.shtml
I logged a report against Knigge. Spent 4k+ in gas, yet mined less than 1k. Had 36k qanta after a minute or so.
I presume they read their own forums. I'm not going to make a ticket for each bug. I've already spent enough hours making all of these posts. I made one ticket, and linked this forum thread to it. Ticket ID #IIX-284-39233 To be honest, i've got another 10 or so bugs that i've come across. - A number to do with having multiple buildings on hotkeys and cancelling/pausing/ running out of minerals and
