Yeah, had that happen to me to, left the United Planets and went solo, was a bit more challenging, but to heck with 'em. I like starting at the bottom and working my way up, lets me better develope my strategies. Just finished my first large/normal dificulty alliance victory. Not sure what I'm gonna try next.

Alrighty then, lookin like we could use some more support in here! Looking forward to jumping in and hammering out some scores. Working my way up thru the galaxy sizes and difficulties as my history will show ya, so far I've managed a large/normal difficulty, but I'm working my way up. Unlike some, I'm taking my time, and enjoying the heck outta this game. Few things I've noticed tho: Some folks have never posted a loss in their rankings, gotta have at least one for character ;p <
