I used Bootskin and Tweak 7 absolutely. I've been a subscriber for, since 2002, I just looked. I liked B.U.G.S too, would love to see that updated to run in w10. Yeah I know I can emulate it but I've gotten lazy in my old age, I don't root and rom my phone anymore either. All software dls are in your account for individual sw. FWIW , I have never had SD manager do a very good job of keeping stuff updated, it just never works for me.

ALSO if you are running ESET, you will need to jump through hoops to get WB installed and ESET to stop blocking WB.

Red, yes it is legacy and not supported but still works and well in 32 bit , I have a copy of it, needs OD reg to use . Yes win X does have built in support for VDs or multiple DTs if you prefer but it is there ! Funny no one mentioned that SD actually has this program and that it integrates very very well into Control Panel giving you exactly what you are asking for, I have used it for about 12+ yrs now and really cannot live without it. Problem is it wont run on 64x OS. Runs fine on W7 32. If you have a subscription to OD you should be able to get both Virtual Desktops and Control Center even if they are no longer supported, pretty sure Neil would cough one up? I too was a faithful user of CC with VDM and successfully ran it on W7 32bit for a long time. It ran very well really so I'm not sure why yours wont. I switched to 64 bit and nothing has been quite the same without CC and the Virtual Desktops. A huge shame that. I would gladly pay extra for my VDM back. Trying to talk Jorge Coelho of Winstep into doing it [e digicons]}:)[/e] but having no luck there either.

I agree with dragon13, SVD and CC was the main reason i purchased OD ssoooo long ago. If there is no interest then why is NextStart Winstep thinking about including a VDM in the next vs of Extreme?? Because Jorge polled his users and thats what we want. Dexpot is ok but it isnt SVD Support it, advertise it, hype it, Build it and they will come !!! s

ACtually it works quite well in W7 32 bit. not 64 tho. Control center also works on W7/32, not as well as on xp but it does what i need it to do. I propose the reason there is no demand for it is SD has not created the demand. Yes you have to tell ppl about it and tell them how they must have it and why, this would be so easy to do,less than basic marketing. Look at the way body wash gels for men are flying off the shelf and you cant get ppl interested in SD V

I find i get this when i try to dl anything i *think* SD wont support/develop anylonger. I could be wrong but its a good thing i have everything I ever bought from them backed up.

yes , shame that . Most laptops these days are shipping with 64 bit OS and SVD is wonderfull for tiny laptops screens.

I am trying to figure out why you need to know the name of your desktops? You can choose different wallpapers for each to differentiate ( what i do) I do agree with you that i simply cannot live without SVD, I do not understand why more ppl dont use it and why SVD isn't hyped a lot more than it is. ( even M$ liked the idea so much they stole it but it wasn't as well implemented as Stardock) For those of use who like/have to keep lots of things open at one time this app

For all i hvae properly installed the latest ATI drivers and still the problem persists. I did notice that with NO ATI specific drivers installed , this problem dissapeared. Excalpius, yes yes we would all like to upgrade to W7 but lets be reasonable here, that is hardly a solution. I conclud it is either as Lantec suggests, dock contents or ATI driver issues. Lantec, Yes i think ill give those catalyst drivers a try tho they are the same size. I dont think they are installing correctly becasue i cannot get the CCC to run at all. I will check all my docklets too as its only the tabbed dock that i have autohiding on the bottom that is giving me problems, the regular dock that comes with OD ( my computer. music etc ) is fine, just the tabbed dock that i use to group and launch my programs is being a pita. I am having the same problem, when i mouse over to auto unhide, its slow and jerky and will actually slow down and make the opening apps jerky as well. I just started having this problem when i changed vid cards. Still ATI cards and Catalyst drivers but i think its a driver issue. Yes Neil, i think that is what happened then. I dont see any settings for NOD to delete it and as i said i did set it to exclude from future scans and restore it but the bit was set anyway?. Doesnt quite explain why it deleted it on the second reboot and why i couldnt reinstall wb7 4 + times and why NODs action of deleting is not in the logs. I have checked NODs exclusions and wblind.dll is there alright : C:\PROGRA~1\Stardock\OBJECT~1\WINDOW~1\wblind.dll<

Yes thats the ticket, send me teh dll. Ok i installed wb on one of my spare rigs, it installed fine , copied over the .dll to my machine, rebooted it where the dll was missing again after reboot??? no matter. copied it again, loaded up sevenconfig.exe and clicked on my skin and it applied. I have no idea where the gd .dll is going and what is deleting it but its there now : WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 7.0 (build 80 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly

My definitions are updated, this is not NOD. yes actually there is but you need control center to properly do this. no longer offered and that is a shame. wish i could get a screenshot of it for you but something about the virtual eludes capture. I keep my browser, file management, Mirc and email all on separeate desktops and easily switch between them. Each desktop has a different wallpaper too. sorry this isntmuch help s
