This may have something to do with this, but I have no idea. Earlier today I started to crank a game on my laptop. I turned on my desktop to use EBZ's website for the early tech and governer stuff. This was before the chat log was posted on the website. I cranked the game to the end, getting a substantialy lower score than normal, probably because I had upgraded to drengin and got 1.09 earlier today (before I started this game). One way to extend demo time (though not exactly...) is to transfer your save files when you buy the game. I did this, and at first it didn't work because the demo save games didn't have all the data that the regular save games had. I copied the data from one of my non-demo saves and it worked. Sadly, I was to enthralled with gigantic univereses to ever play those games, so the save games sit at the bottom of my save game list, never being touched.

I believe that once they are used, they are used as temporary shelters and headquarters on the ground. Plenty of them get destroyed, and if thbey win, they get converted into buildings ala the colony ships in freelancer. ~SDC~

The time limit in the demo makes me wonder... just how much of the real game is in the demo? If you were able to last past those ten years, how much research could you do?
