Just a thought for a possible fix, could add a per pixel +- padding adjustment for horizontal and vertical icon spacing. That way people would not be affected, and those that are would be able to adjust however they want to. Or add a sort of padding to the outside of a fence that you can adjust.

i just updated from windows 23H2 to 25H2 2 days ago, and thats when i started noticing it. Yes i know what in the hell was i doing on 23H2 still. dont ask, long story. But something in the windows desktop icon padding may have changed that wasnt caught and updated for.. Having said all that, it totally may have been doing it on 23H2. TBH my memory isn't too great at the moment, so i do not recall if it was there or if it wasnt.&nb
i can even try to make it worse :) this is the max pull right of the fence before icons re-arrange outside fence.
Icons settings made the fence easier to see, made the background orange tint. when i select the icons not in a fence as a group and move, they just slither their way back to that position. Not snappy, not slow, a bit choppy actually, like mov
with fences, the Nvidia , Backup_Cl... and UPS_Label_... are all cut off With out fences
This is a double post now, I updated top 6.52. Please disregard this post and see the 6.52 thread. (admin / Mod) feel free to delete whenever you wish to.

Hello, Fence Version 6.52 Just updated from 6.46 same issue. There seems to be a Icon name issue. When the name text box line is maxed, the text is hidden behind a Fence. This happens on multiple monitors, and on multiple fences with different icons. Icon size does not matter, it does not change the issue. I have provided a screenshot of
Survey says - FIXED. files uploaded. did it 2 times for verification.
did i get a tinkered with file?? Did not receive the warning on any of the other files.
could it be a delay from the KVM ? If so how about a check box option that adds a delay to checking in your logic for that monitor. And if checked icon placement will be adjusted after the monitor is verified there or missing.
new uploads sent. Unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.
And sent. PS You can just call me Jeff :)
will have to be tomorrow as im not at a point i can shutdown my pc atm.
I should add I have upgraded my GPU since first troubleshoot report. Went from a AMD 6750 iir to a Nvidia 5070. Issue stays the same.
uploaded before and after. I have created a bandaid for now, doesnt fix the issue but does stop it from messing up my icons. I just created new fences called left center and right monitors. and just drag my random icons there. For testing I moved a few icons out of the right monitor fence. As you can tell they moved into the center after power saving.
just downloaded, never got a email saying you all added anything.
I would also like to reiterate this monitor with the issue is running on a 4 port HDMI 4 port KVM. It may have something to do with it, it may not.. I can say the issue does not occur if i change to a different system and come back.
Thank you for your dedication to this issue. I did wait about 60 seconds in the monitor power saving state before moving the mouse in case it does not show. Your efforts show great dedication to your software and go above what most software devs have shown me in my experience so far! Thank you!
done and sent
Ill get new logs after i wake up. its almost 2AM here, so heading to bed :)
I locked the computer to log in screen, let it go to sleep. Waited till all monitors went in power saving mode then about 10 - 20 seconds later I moved mouse and logged back in. Also given the monitor only seems to sleep for a second - </spa
Ok files created and uploaded. On a side note, Im not receiving email updates on this forum. Reason it took me a few days to reply.. found it in my spam folder :) all good on forum subs now.
My middle monitor displays BIOS. The Right Monitor is the KVM. KVM Monitor is the issue. Doing logging and before and after restores now.
The Monitor that is having the issue is on a 4 port HDMI KVM. The KVM connection to the PC with windows and fences is on a DP to HDMI Adapter. The other 2 monitors are on DP.
