Messy Buu, I provide perfectly good reasons to drop out of HS. I could give the obivious responses to what you just posted, but I am sure you (and everyone else) already has a pretty good idea what those would be. Refusing to waste your time on something that has no value to you is not laziness. If anything, it's just the opposite.
Good reasons to drop out of HS: 1. You aren't learning anything. Perhaps you go to a school where there are no advanced or AP courses. 2. You know that your time could be better spent doing something else. For example, traveling, taking college courses, earning money for something you consider to be important, volunteering etc.

Where does this assumption of doing nothing come from? How does dropping out of HS mean that you are lazy or lack self-discipline and will do nothing with the rest of your life? Like I said earlier, some HS dropouts are very intelligent and have achieved what most would define as "success". There is another advantage of the PC for the DIY'er, they can build and upgrade their systems for substantially less than buying a prebuilt system.

OK, not really sure how to respond to what you said Messy Buu, because I don't understand what you are trying to say. So I will just say this. There are A LOT of HS dropouts who lead, what is commonly considered to be, successful lives.
JillUser, they make an issue about it to raise awarness. Just look at how much better gays are accepted in our society now compared to just 20 years ago. That acceptance came about by making people more aware of them.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against welfare at all. However, I think it would be much better if more was done to insure that people would never have to go on welfare to begin with. Not being allowed to have a child until you are 21 would be a step in the right direction. If nothing else, at 21 you are a bit wiser than at 18, 16 etc.
