Altas Phillando
Really cool. But maybe you could put a pic of earth (or, in our case, Coruscant) behind the crosshairs.
Never mind this, um... comment. I was bored. [Message Edited]
What do you mean, 'join again'? Well, I'm going to buy the game this weekend. (and its Altas, not Atlas).
Skywalker here. I changed my name *points to new name* see? Isn't it wonderful? :)
Like, change your nickname and stuff?
'hear hear!'
May I inquire, because I DO hear about them often- what are rangers?
I bribed the Alexians to attack the Carinoids once. After a long war that resulted in the depletion of both economies and militaries, I conquered them both.
How are they calculated?
That does seem... preferable, your excellency.
I did, most noble President. Perhaps, if you prefer, we may call it somthing else.
Perhaps, noble President, you can honor Lifewish by means of a title of some sort, but without actual power? Or, give him permaenant 'dibs' for the rank of temp. Dictator?
Perhaps this honorable Senate would consider electing a temperary dictator for catastrophic situations, instead of a permenant Vice President? It is in my experience that individuals with such power (even vice president power) may become too enthralled by it, and seek ways of increasing their power. If Lifewish (or anyone else) became a VP, he might even go off to set up his own nation, ripping us apart in a brutal civil war. However- I must say the Lifewish gets my vote for a role as temporary
I gotta get a fully version of the game first. I'll get it this weekend. Until then though, can I consider myself a Republic Member?
I'm gonna join, I think. (I posted this on the other invite thread, just being thourough) "Kill the Fuzzy-wuzzies" -Adm. Tillias Phillando
I think I shall be joining up (as soon as I get a full version-still phiddling with the demo). This Republic seems pretty cool. "Kill the Fuzzy-Wuzzies" -Adm. Tillias Philando
well, I stopped watching faithfully at the beginning of season 4, and just watched a couple eps here and there.
in GalCiv, the concept of 'population' seems very abstract. It is just the number of registered taxpayers on your planet. But, I have one problem wwith this simple system: Species is not taken into account. The species of your population should matter very much. I mean, the backround of the Altarians says that they can control energy and matter to a limited degree with their minds, so why don't they get a building bonus? And the short-person race gets, say, -10% production on BIG projects? And t
Wouldn't earth be a little outclassed against all the other factions? Considering they don't even have sustained warp travel yet, and I doubt the asgard are gonna give it. Although it'd be cool, I must admit.
When planets defect from majors, do they join the I-league eventually, or do some of them remain independant?
Famous Ancients: Constantine, Cicero, Qin, Rameses, Abraham, Vercingtorix, Hamilcar, Mansa Musa, etc. Famous battle-sites: Gettysburg, Ticonderoga, Agincourt, Wu Zhang, Adrianople, Phillipi, etc. And I somtimes take the name the computer gives me.
I always try to grab as many star systems as I can. If a system only has level 7 planets, I still colonize it. Is this an idiotic move? And also; what about colonizing Mars? (It seems characterful, as it IS the closest world, so it should be the first to be colonized, and scientists do talk about colonizing mars somewhat frequently)
For whatever reason, I cannot seem to be able to win. Even in cakewalk! I always end up getting into debt, my planets are underdeveloped, and I have (at most) 15% sway in the United Planets! Could anyone give me some advice? My main problems: ~Low Population: How can I make it grow faster? ~Low Income: How can I increase it? ~Low Colonization Speed: How can I increase it?
I can play it now! yipee! Thank you for all those who helped.
