The rich do get richer and the poor do get poorer, however many of the rich tned to take risks and work hard, and employ people, not all people with money are bad, and undeserving.

Really know very little about this person, however if she did the crime, then she does the time, we had e very well known trader over get caught doing the inside trader thing, he was quite possibly one of the richest traders in the counrty, the down side for him is a) he only made $300.00 AUD and B) went to jail, had a breakdown, got released, recovered, got sent back to finish his sentance. People with wealth are not Demi gods, and except for the Media who love to salivate over them no-one care

You only need to look at economies that are in recession to be able to see what my title means. Economies are fluid, meaning they grow, receed and change as the needs of the market change, there are two ways to manage change, one is to put up protectionist boundries and protect the internal economy from outside influences, or recognise the change ond be prepared with good forward planning . Protectionism does not encourage efficency nor does it encourage growth of new ideas, why bot

You guys are not alone, this is an event if you like that being repeated around the world, mainly started by left wing Governments attempting to equalise wealth between first and thrid world countries, (it always worries me what has happened to those second world countries). So whilist I am well and truely from the left, the truth is that this is a totally left creation created by the likes of Democrates in you country, just as it was created by the Labor and Democratic parties in my country

Sorry Anthony if you have an industry which is non competitive then its should become competitive and stand on its own merits, this how capitalism works, if you don't cut the mustard tough titties. Yes the EU is heavily subsidised and they should be putting their money where thier mouth is however these have been in place since the inception of the EU decades ago and most countries are still able to compete with them evn if the feield is not level, my point is subsidies do not build a competitiv

I always find it interesting that when other countries get tired of the US flouting rules set by orginasitions that they cry foul, yet they feel totally justified in their own actions. Coming from a farming background, I am only too aware of the harm the US can do to a countries economys to benefit the lack of ability they posess to compet on a level playing field. Australia has no tarrifs , nor do we give subsidies or tax breaks to producers. Yet we manage to compete with the EU on all levels.

Anthony, After my littlte spit last night I did have the opportunity to view a doco on WWII, and it conformed something I already pretty well knew, this is the fact that even when the Allies where fighting for the freedom of France, they were spoiling in these efforts, mostly the small man syndrome, I would have to say tha France has always beed like this and is best ignored. I do admit that when I watched the debated leading up to the war with Iraq, that I felt that most of the protests fro

One comment , the US does not have a left. Trust me guys, the Democrates are not left, Pseudo Left, but not left, Close to the centre, very bleeding heart, but very soft,.

I would say that for a company the size of IBM, they produce a very ordinary product, not only that but for what you pay for these you would expect a far better machine, the old story of you buy the computer but you pay for the name. I run four desktops, and two laptops, none of which are produced by the last Computer Giants. all are made locally, all have the very best parts in them, cost way less and have far better support from the vendors, one laptop is made by an English company, the equal

You know what would solve this problem, wait for it, get rid of money , think about it do we really need money with the technologies we have today, no, it is a very outdated way of exchange. The reality is there is no reason to have this sought of system any more, and no I am not suggesting some form of communism, this is and always was a flawed concept based on forcing people to do the bidding of a small group how believed they new best. What I am saying is there are better ways to do things in

Anthony you call that a tax, , some day when I am not so tired I will put in our tax rates for then you will see what tax is my friend, (no this is not a competition), in our fair country it is the middle income people who pay a majority of taxs, so in some ways I do understand what you are saying. Our top rate is 48.7% which kicks in at 60k, however with the Australian tax system, the more you earn the more deductions you get, people who are on average income don't get the tax breaks, however t

Datarat, ever seen an Ostrich, when they don't want to see reality they put their head in the sand. A recent poll of Europeans has 60% of 'em saying that Israel ...NOT bin Laden or Saddam... is the biggest "threat to world peace" ! Get a grip mate, A) the US is not the new government of the world, people will disagree with you, and will not always follow where you go, you strike me as a bit of a bully with your comments, by this I mean, that you seam to think that just

Anthony, I am sory mate but you really have lost the plot this time. Why is it fine for North America to unite as a single state, yet you charge the union of european states as being akin to a forth reich. Whilist in most cases I find your comments interesting and worth reading this comment is what people expect from americans, you don't agree with us so you must be our enemy. One thing the US needs to come to terms with, you do not have all the answers, nor do you have the right to dictate to t

Nice to see that not every one in the US comes from the right. The reality is guys, the war has happened and right or wrong, and I have to say all the arguments put forward by Mr's Bush, Blair and Howard(he's the Prime Minister of Australia, yes I am from here so let me bitch about this little man as well) were generally flawed, he was not part of the terror network, in fact he was on their hit list, fact. As admitted by Richard Butler there were no weapons of any quantity left and the UN team w
