Note that uninstall from Impulse doesn't delete the contents of the My Games\Elemental or ProgramData\Stardock\Elemental-War of Magic directories. Before installing a new version of the beta I always uninstall from Impulse, then delete those 2 directories, then install the new beta.
I did this as well and had no problems with the reinstall. I got both the correct fonts and the launcher is still intact.

I have encountered three different bugs from this same saved game file: 1 - One shot kills multiple enemies in city tactical battle 2 - Disappearing city and sovereign 3 - Immediate program exit on building removal I have included the relevant debug.err files along with the save game file in question and a text file describing the above in detail. <a title="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9653872/BugReport.zip" href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9653872/BugReport.zi
Yes, happening to me too; I'd say maybe once every six to eight battles or so. Needless to say, I save before each battle. [e digicons]^_^[/e] I have noticed that it happens less frequently with shadows turned off in video settings, though it does still happen. Also, I at least have found that Alt-Tabbing to the desktop and then back to the game will get rid of the fog for the battle so it can be fought properly, however I then run into lag problems immediately or s
Some excellent suggestions here already. Just a few thoughts I have as well to contribute. Since I've only been noodling around with the beta for a short while, please ignore any comments that might already be in the game and I just haven't realized it or come across it yet! City 'Sprawl': One thing that has been a concern of mine is in the way cities are built directly on the map, mainly in regards to the massive sized cities in comparison with the
Aye, I've had this happen as well, and was able to get them back by saving and then reloading the game. I have noticed though that this also destroys the affected city. The cities footprint is still there of the area it occupied before I took it, but all the buildings are missing, not destroyed though, just simply not there at all.
This is relevant to my interest as it might be the same problem I've been having, and whats even more interesting is my system is almost identical to yours...cpu, graphics card, ram, and OS. [e digicons]:P[/e] I've been getting the same type of corrupted graphics as you had in the screenshot you posted, and I also am using 2000 mhz ram. Out of curiosity, what did you lower your fsb dram to?
Actually Kryo, after reading about on the site here, I took the suggestion of making a scanning exception for GalCiv 2 in my Avast! anti-virus software. And today I've been playing for several hours without a hitch. I've opened and closed the game many times, played through a game year, and it's been smooth sailing. So it seems pretty certain at this point that my anti-virus active scanning was interfering with GalCiv. If I run into that odd glitch again though, I will
Been having some trouble with Dark Avatar. First, playing as the Terrans I had a rather odd graphic error when I colonized Mars. After the little movie played for my first colony, the colony screen appeared, but I couldn't select anything on it. I was able to exit the screen. However when I went back to the colony right after, I had a bunch of odd graphical effects in several of the build squares on the colony map...strange symbols and such. I did a quicksave and
I am guessing that this is the actual name now of last years 'not-MoM' game that saw much speculation...it's been awhile since I've looked into this game as you can tell. Taken with all due respect to the OP that this game, while similar, is NOT MoM 2 or a remake of the original, I feel that some of your worries are likely unfounded. 1. I have played many many 4x and RTS games, and while having lots of factions is indeed nice, I have fond that I far and away prefer fully fleshed out f
What I think is really amazing is the fact that many of these changes were from player comments and suggestions, in addition to continued testing and tweaking. Not to mention the promise of much more to come! Thanks again folks for another fun and addicting game, and for actually paying attention to what folks have to say.
Hmm, I too have been looking for an updated list. Do we have any word on this at all folks?
