I think the divide between OS' will grow even bigger with Vista. The PC could be a platform that encourages compatibility and open standards, but instead MS closes their new OS further and makes it more difficult for other OS' to integrate and implement across the platforms. Vista will likely push many away, including yours truly, with it's draconian licence policy (a licence which is most likely illegal in most western countries and wouldn't hold up a day in court if someone were to ch

I hope Starforce will fade into oblivion. I own both TrackMania games and it makes me really angry as they are really great. Now, I'm not sure I'll play them again, ever, and I'll certainly not recommend them to anyone. Rather the opposite and that hurts Nadeo. It should hurt StarForce. Stardock, you set a great example. I hope more companies will foll
#11 by Citizen Nastavnik Does anyone know what's the difference between build 1.0X.009 (that I installed 2-3 days ago) and 1.0X.010 that I see now? The 1.0X.010 is the final official (stable) patch before 1.1. The X.009 is a pre-release to X.010.
Taxpayers are not the only living people. Taxpayers are the only living taxpaying people. There are people who don't participate in all societies. This is also stated by the game every time a population count pops up. If you raise taxes to a 100% you will, indirectly, kill everyone on your planet as they won't have any money for food. 100% taxes = 100% of all income. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border=0 ALIG

You don't run SDC when you run the game, only to update the game. I really don't see the problem. There is no form of DRM or other mysterious software. There is no spyware and no extra system-hogging resources. As stated in #1 you can archive the software and install it to as many PCs as you like. #2 states that you can dl the patches and extras manually and finally, #3, it really is the only way for Stardock to confirm your ownership since there is no
Fair enough, I think. I'd rather see you address the bugs in Link , and the tweaks and minor additions in Link . If you read the patch history, you'll see they've
2 minute startup time!?!?!? Dear Lord. I thought my pc was old.
If it's a conundrum to the gaming industry...well...there's your problem really. If you want to make games that women like, you ask women what they'd like in a game and you hire female programmers, designers, concept artists, etc... I think if the gaming industry really wants to know why women don't play games they'd find out. The money makers rarely pass up a chance to make dem shiny moooneys. By the way... There's a really good article in #151 (Au
