Use the frikkin screenshot section for screenshots . Problem solved. Posting it in the forums takes it beyond this sites watchful eye. TSF has every right to protect their work in this situation. The OP does gives the impression that the theme was made by him. He is no ways clear about anything. There is history here that some may not be aware of. While I think TSF is a sellout, I support them 100% here...and btw, almopst everyone is a sellou

There is no such thing as good ole days. Right now will eventually be the good ole days for someone in the future, which tells me I would be missing out on the now by living in the past. [e digicons]o_O[/e]

They are doin pretty well also. I suspect gaming will fluorish as well due to people looking for more home entertainment. The cable companies will gouge....hard. <img src="http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c217/nighttrainfx/screwed.jpg" alt="" width="396"

For some reason it happens with some XP systems. The drop doen menus are blackened out. If you give all of the pixels on the menu image some transparency the problem goes away but if the menus have smooth/ transparanet corners but have solid pixels throughout elsewhere the the pixels turn black. As far as I know, everyone that had the problem is on Xp sp3. No other info. I prefer my menus solid as they get a wierd shadow if transparent.
Have you installed any other skinning software? MS styles, Vista transformation pack, etc? Post your system information from wb configuration.
I think I know what is happening now. If it happens again. Open display properties, select extra large text, apply, then reselct normal text, and apply. It's a wierd bug with some systems.
The further they distance themselves from the Vista branding the better.
Better for them. If I can run 7 on my current hardware without upgrade and its not stupidly priced, I'll relax a bit but I don't know much as of now.
post a screesnshot
Hope NT gets that job
Thanks. I am not trying to steal thunder here. Just generating spirit and sucking off that. [e digicons][/e]
IMHO they should relaease it as Vista SP 2 and regain some consumer confidence. Companies certainly won't be upgrading sytems over the next couple of years. Many didn't upgrade to Vista. I just don't understand the move by MS. Well, I understand it, I just feel cheated by Vista. $ 3500 of hardware to run the shitty OS.
Phoon, I understand what you are saying but the all programs mouseover might be a bad one to use as example. A master skin has to work flawlessly on all systems. There is a language and settings issue with the all progrmas area that sort of pins a master skin into having to be that mouseover instead of an image. Otherwise it will be screwed up on some systems. All I am saying is on this one, it's not really laziness but handcuffed. :)

I'm gonna try to make something happen here.... my luck works in funny ways. If I get a job with one of the 3 comapnies I am stalking and this thread makes it to 1000 posts, I'll throw in an object desktop ultimate sub. Expires at the end of the sub drive though. As I'll be homelss round then.... I love camping. [e digicons][/e]
The magic pink pixels must be 100% 255-0-255 and no transparency can be used. Magic pink images must be .bmp format. You had it right when you got the white background. You just didn't have the right settings selected in skinstudio. Use a .png/tga image to get true transparency. There are checkboxes for transparency and translucency in skinstudio. check them both off for png images and just check off transparent when using a bmp.
oops, sorry, I only came to flame....
Will the Master Skin Program be altered in any way?
So are drop shadows just a standard feature of most skins these days?
Almost all of them. The shadows are part of the graphics making up the window frames. Some have sm,aller shadows than others. UIS2 frames are used when you turn off per pixel borders. Per pixel is required to get smooth edges and corners. With UIS 2 you get the jaggies.
Ironical that this thread broke.
nobody would make fun of something like that in reality.. never
isn't the whole thread about making fun of it? :P Spoilsports show up everywhere. On any given day , someone with a great sense of humor can wake up without it. No need to defend your sense of humor. If you find something funny...laugh, and don't let anyone spoil your fun. Chances are they are purposely trying to ruin your fun becuase they don't know how to have fun. This mes
