If you already have a theme loaded and running you can import objects. You cant run an object all on its own unless you have a theme running. Desktop X pro version allows for .exe objects but I haven't ventured into that yet. I have been stuck on skinstudio for a few months now.

Try a .png file or .bmp its been awhile but one will definately work. You have to put the individual frames together to get the animation strip.
Yes, I believe it looks like you are on your way! I knew nothing about dsektop x when I got it but if even I can half assed figure it out you will be very succesful. You can also load a theme done by someone else, right click on any object to see what properties the author gave that object. I don't know a thing about scripting but they say it's easy. I hope I am helping and not confusing you.

I have only used skinstudio for windowblind skins. It also works to open icons amd such. Icon developer is for making icons. I dont use object dock but I believe it to be similiar to Desktop x. Are you trying to use skinstudio to make a desktopx theme? If you play around with skinstudio you will learn. Its frustrating but eventually you will get it. Taking apart and disect someone elses skin is the best way to learn skinstudio. I dont know what you
There are tutorials at stardock.com for all the programs. You will also need some editing software like photoshop or paintshop pro. I use paintshop pro. Good price. If you don't have editing software you are not gonna get too far.

WHy must i pay to be able to download icons and docklets for ObjecktDock when OD is free? Because bandwidth cost money. Especially on a site this big. As i see it i pay for OD indirect in this way... Nope your paying to download stuff others have worked very hard on.

I think I just realized that all skins start at a 6 and then develop from there. WC just posted my latest (Aquarius) and it started at a six. I think all my skins have started at a 6. I should have had 1 more cup of coffee before thinking this morning.

he he he essencay, The smartest thing I ever did was get my girlfriend her own pc. Now she can do whatever she wants. If she breaks it she waits for it to be fixed.
