And finally, once again I don't think anybody has a problem with deducting "a couple of points",
2 points out of 10 is 20%. If 25% of the users on on Vista then a 20% deduction seems to be fair.

If you actually read my original post you might see that it defends you just as much as it explains your silly behavior. If you can't undertsand that well then , too bad for you. Remove the black and I think you'll see it's fixed. I don't want to download the CVS proggy unless necessary but for you dear , I'll go the effort. [e digicons]:*[/e] Nuff of this publicly...
there is something corrupted in the code I think.
The problem has similarities to what Mirsguy was experiencing the other day and that was code related. They are probably tied together. I was not able to test it as I didn't know what Brad was using but the image was corrupted in the version of your skin that I have. Aren't your disabled and focused tab images black in your version?
JOhn, If you reimport a new png image for your Plas Fan skin tabs, the problem is fixed. The TGA was corrupted. :)
I make the complete Vista version, then make the XP substyle when EVERYTHING is done on the Vista version. This way all the settings ( except some random text settings) get transferred and it saves a ton of work. As a matter of fact, I typically have a stalling point becuase at that stage I have to name the skin before going forward. LOL Like I said. Even with what you said before John bout my Uner the gun skin doesn't bother me as it is user error. SKS does fin
How are those background removed?.....are you talking about the backgrounds that are found in the "Explorer and IE" section in sk6?
yes, just delete the transparent images. EDIT/ Don't actually delete the images. Set them to not be used in the XP version via the image drop down menu.
I am running Vista. Starting by making an XP version is a deal breaker. If that's the only way to do it right, that is just stupid. If people can't apply the right version based on the OS they have, I am not going to suffer it. I haven't even had SKS5 installed for about 6 months. All my skinning is done in SKS6 now. It has its moments but I have figured out the band aids. I suggest people avoid sks5 if they want to avoid any problems. The programs do not share sk
Happy Birthday.
Fight..... I think you meant to say Vista and not XP.
Don't waste time with my nonsense. Get back to the task at hand. [e digicons]XD[/e]
LOL, I wondered how the judges were going to get through it all before the end of today. [e digicons][/e]
Agauin, I think Brad has been dead on however Mac users don't need glyphs on buttons. [e digicons];P[/e] [e digicons]:P[/e] [e digicons]X([/e]
Thnaks for the heads up John. Not that there is anything more I can do. [e digicons]X|[/e]
My mistakes seem sooo obvious now . D'OH
I haven't had a problem with substyles since my ispire skin. Just make the Vista default selection in SKS substyle management. and you should be fine. Making an XP substyle first then making a Vista version is not acceptable. You have to redo many settings that would be carried over to the substyle if done right. I skin Vista first. It is far cleaner of a skin and I have Vista.
Have everything applied fresh.
Correct. I almost always close explorer.exe and restart after changing skins.
I would like to know if anyone else has the issues that were stated in my skin, or even others, so I can use the critique, see where I went wrong and make fixes
Yes, I see the same problem. Set your right text margin on the window caption to 270 and it is fixed. I am not sure why you have 6 images for the window top. It's not animated. 2 is suffice. :)
It's not Xmas yet. Put it back under the tree. [e digicons][/e]
You might get one of my votes John. Just one though. [e digicons];P[/e]
Brad, Why would you judge and display the XP versions of skins while running Vista? Some skins shown have Vista versions yet you display the XP on Vista. That seems a bit off.
The difference between a fan and a fanatic is that while both have an overwhelming liking or interest in a given subject, behaviour of a fanatic will be viewed as violating prevailing social norms, while that of a fan will not violate those norms (although the person may be considered unusual). A fanatic differs from a crank, in that a crank is defined as a person who holds a position or opinion which is so far from the norm as to appear ludicrous and/or provably
Luna for me is not usable, it's too big and bulky and gaudy. Classic is what I would consider a 10 on the usable scale in terms of Windows GUIs.
I second that. I can't use a PC for long running Luna.
