Recently, I have updated to v2.72 and very strange thing started happening regarding the taskbar icons. When clicking on my Browser icon, it started to launch Factorio (which is as another icon there). Browser window and all that works still as expected (and if the browser is closed, it just starts the browser). Other icons clicked do not have this behaviour. I today updated to v2.73 and this still keeps happening. Video: <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/14FLEUcaQV3s8ok92z2rTW-

I want gaseous, but they have to be able to colonize gaseous planets that are dead for other races. Other races might invade them but all they can do is to wipe the inhabitants with no way to live on them. All the planets need to have different life expectancies based on the species colonizing them. Maybe even if something basic like -80% all production if not wanting to do the "can't live there at all" :)

Hm... This journal is really meh. I fairly agree with Twinping's post. GC3 thing is over exaggerated for no point. The game really tells you what to do, and we have that in GC4 as well, it is in Civs too - the turn button telling you to do all this and that before you can even do next turn. You literally HAVE to do all of the things or you can't even play. Meeting Aliens too early is just bad. The universe should be BIG, and GalCiv always catered t

I like the idea of this map layout. However few more ideas: Star systems or very small clusters outside of main ones, those would not have any "natural" wormhole and would work only with hyperjump technology (so there might be something for later game exploration and also to not make it just big chunks. Upon entering hyperspace I choose tile from different or same cluster to go, but only those that are in "line of sight". Aka if there is system in betwe

> Frozen world I would love to see only generic tech to be discovered, then having to colonize the planet to unlock the specific colonization mastery (aka you can research frozen world if you colonized some. Then you colonize barren world and it unlocks too , etc. ) In general, unlocking new tech based on what you find in the game would be nice. Imagine not to be able to do some special rocketry techniques until you get your hands on antimatter.

Diplomacy in my opinion should be way more connected with Espionage. That means, not only more "alive" diplomacy negotiations, but also espionage bringing you informations about diplomacy in between others, about secret stuff, and it is up to you if you use it as leverage in your negotiations. More "false flag" operations as well, not only in combat, but also in espionage, sabotages, and stuff. And espionage being able to detect it with some chance. Then that information can make some c

No, you don't understand it correctly. The mechanics is this: For every resource mined, the market gets same-ish amount. If someone mined 1, then market has 1 and you can buy only 1. The costs are fully determined by actual stock at market, ranging from nearly zero to few thousands. If you buy, the prize goes up, until max for 1 unit of resource, then after buying that last one, you need to wait until someone mined that resource again. This is reaaaaaaally dependant on
