Getting a program icon to display in the system tray and not on the taskbar in windows 7. in Customization Software WinCustomize Forums

Hi, Just wondered if anyone knows if there is a program you can use in Windows 7 which allows you to specify programs so that the icon will display in the system tray instead of on the taskbar. I used to use a program called 'TrayIt' but this not longer works nicely in windows 7. Just wondered if anything in the stardock portfolio can do this, or if anyone knows of a program to do this. oh dont suppose you could fix a couple of other programs? World of warcraft in windowed mode the min/max/close buttons seem to be in a "different place" to where the graphic is for the button (pressing min could max the window or do nothing at all for example depending on the skin). Apologies for the bloated comment. System tray support in a dock would be absolutely fantastic (and I would buy the extreme for it and quite happily just run that module). This is wonderful news. (I have vented about objectdock in the wincustomize forums where I am meant to by the way, you start to try other places when no one listens though after a while, sorry about that).

Still doesn't support system tray icons as a dock? When will they do the real program we want a new version of - Objectdock plus! Fences is a bit useless because when you have windows up they are underneath, nexus doesn't have system tray support so you either have to have the bloated nexus extreme or your windows task bar still up. Come on stop wasting time on the ok stuff and do objectdock PLEASE.

Ah, found out how you do this just if it helps other people, its not a tick box, but there is a slider. On 'Look And Feel' -> 'Explorer backgrounds' you will find an opacity slider at the bottom. Slide it to the far right, and if you correctly position the slider right at the end, the green colour does indeed come back on encrpyted folders! Many thanks for all your help, this was exactly what I was after.

Hi, Seem to have a bug in window blinds. Whenever I apply a skin to Windows Vista, I am no longer able to tell which files / folders are encrpted or compressed. Encrpyted / compressed folders should appear in green instead of black, due to the windows setting : Folder Options -> View -> Show encrpyted or compressed NTFS file in color. If anyone has a solution or tick box that I don't know about in window blinds to force files/fo

Well, I actually managed to pay for mine using Paypal, and then it didn't manage to redirect back to stardock in order to give me my download link, lol. So I have a nice useless receipt from paypal, and nothing at all from Stardock. Seems like they got a lot of bugs to fix ATM. Also says a 2 day wait time on Stardock sales email auto-responder.

1) I would like to see Object Dock improved (and before you shout, make it part of object desktop!) Desperately need Object Dock 2.0, its IMO the best product 2nd to Window Blinds. And on Object Dock I would love to see you be able to put the text next to the icon so you could create an actual taskbar (rather than just a task bar with icons which is useless if you have 2 folders that look the same). 2) Window FX : Get it working properly with Vista. Hiya, One of the latest updates in the last few months of windows blinds has rendered window blinds useless to me, and Im missing it loads!!!! In Office 2000, if I apply the 'do not skin this app' setting to MS Access 2000, multi line text boxes that scroll downwards, only scroll the last line's height worth of text down, and basically makes a big mess of the text. I found 2 problems with the full version. First of all you lose you balloon tip popups off system tray icons - only way round this I have found is to make the system tray a doc in a similar shape and size and position to the windows one, then hide the windows taskbar and your pop ups appear in 'about' the right place. The other problem is naughty companies who draw their icons manually like nVidia, means that you cant see some icons in objectdock tray.
