Nope, SDC thought (thinks, I still have the old system running if I boot to that disc) I had 1.95 installed (I archived and can recover that), it's 1,92 I'm trying to get back. I haven't quite figured out how the versions got switched in SDC. Tim
Sadly not, ignored the question I asked and suggested trying the demo version of ObjectDock without any suggestion as to how it would poroduce the result I wanted with locked windows. A completely inadequate response to a fairly specific query. I'm now waiting for a reply to my response but to be honest without any real expectation of success. Tim

I'm rebuilding my machine, using a new installation of the OS on a separate partition. I have both old and new OS builds available and all my old apps as installed. Is there a way to transfer my ObjectBar Plus settings from the old system to the new one without having to go and recreate all the tabs? I'm only really interested in the tabs on my tabbed bar and their contents. Tim

Thanks, I know, I have it. There's nothing significant in the beta and it hasn't been updated for a considerable time. The date on the beta is 2 years ago. I must admit I thought it was more recent than that but my memory was never my best feature. My point (which may not have been obvious as I rambled on) is that OD is becoming irrelevant as the useful bits are split out rather than released as updates. Tim
I've been using Object Desktop for years, since its OS/2 days (in various incarnations), when the new annual subs started I paid them, it's not a huge sum and I use a few bits regularly. In recent years everything I use OD for seems to have been sidelined while everyone gets busy customising their desktops.
