I play single player only, and it crashes plenty on me... I've sent literally a barrage of service tickets in about the game crashing...If I have created custom races or ships, it crashes and won't reload. If the game hangs, I can't reload the last auto save...Have to start over with an uncustomiz

Discovered part of reason why my 6.1 Game crashes after clicking on a ship in GalCiv III Support GalCiv3 Forums

I Have been having problems with the game crashing right at the start whenever I clicked on a ship. I did all the trouble shooting steps. As it turns out this was a complete waste of time. Why would my machine that had been running the game well, suddenly stop running it well? Turns out the problem lies with custom races. My one custom race, plus the terrans would not run p

After a lot of screwing around, and submitting tickets to them....I have discovered part of the problem. It seems that I can play just fine as another race except Terran or the modified Terrans I created. The only thing I can think of would be that I had custom ships like for instance..."The Chicken of Death"...I tried to play as the Altaran Race and it's going fine. I hate to say it , but I will anyway. I am one of those on whom the game will not run. All I do is start a new game, click on a ship, and it dumps me right out. I have submitted tickets, and done all the troubleshooting tips. This reminds me a little too much of the release of the magic game. For me, it is unplayable at this time.

I'm having something of the same problem. I have been pulling my hair out for two weeks on this. I select a ship, and whammo, it dumps me out. It will also dump me out if I select the shipyard. I can select the planet, and research, but ships are right out. Also, I do have a custom race, but nothing fancy in graphics however.....just a custom race amazingly like the Terrans. I've submitted two tickets on it,

Crashing at start in GalCiv III Support Stardock Forums

Just tried to restart a new game on 5.3. I get to the race selection and other parameters like galaxy size, Etc...start the game and as soon as I click on anything at all...Ker Blammo, the game just exits so fast my head swims. I checked and did the file verification thing, and it still crashes on start. Is there any ideas about how I can get around this? Thanks! Lyal Shoff

You know, I had the same problem! Crashes...I actually submitted a ticket, and then could not log back for the same reasons you give. Something strange is afoot...
