NB: While fences was running, I could Disable it ... which restored my Desktop. I was told to run purge.bat ... which destroyed the entire setup ... And the code that was valid for the initial install is declared invalid now ... Now all you do is tell me to jump through yet more hoops ... All I need is a code for Fences so I can Disable it. (After uninstall and uninstall and Purge and Purge and Purge with reboot to

Right, will do. back soon Addendum: "If asked to ReBoot, select no" or words to that effect. (I can't rerun this, so this is only approximately correct.) I'll do that and re-install.

When I logged in to find nothing but a black screen ... totally blank ... empty ... if I wasn't pretty much a propeller-head geek I'd have been royally screwed, if you'll forgive the vernacular. ^ CTRL-Alt-Del gave me TaskMaster. ^ "Open File Location" gave me access to programs. ^ C:\Windows\explorer.exe was my best bet ... and it worked. A regular M$ blue desktop with all icons. ( Were the icons Fenced? I can't be sure that they were not.
