Newbie Question... Manufacturing in Strategies Stardock Forums

Hey all, hope you can help answer a question. If a planet has already built a manufacturing plant, will building a fusion, an anti-matter plant, or all three, add to the manufacturing output or are the additional plants simply redundant that only increase a plantet's expenses? The same question for social and influence enhancers. Thanks.
