Windows Media player 9 adds a real cool little controller into the XP taskbar on Window Media player 9. But are you willing to take your life into your own hands and install a beta, as I did??? And are you running XP???

Todays top story: Ali G posts on Wincustomize - Yeah! I wuz jus tinkin dat!
Well, I don't think there is. Windowblinds is your best option I think!
It doesn't seem any worse than copying the winlogo, WMP UI, or XP UI and posting the skins here for download without MS permission, or is this not the same?? -- No! This is not the same because it is only for 1 person, 1 time.
Well, I will send you the image in 2 halves. That way, I am not distributing the coprighted image, but when U stick the 2 bits back together, U will have the image!
Ryan: I'm @ college, wher some of the pcs run NT4, and yes, there is a system idle process on it tooo.
3rd place is cool, 2nd place is ok, 1st is horrible!
A theme is a collection of images which, when applied using a suitable program, change the appearance of a program, or of windows itself. Download windowblinds and some themes for it, and you will see what I mean. And sometimes themes are called skins. Hope this helps .

Still in beta
The aaful...!
I thought DesktopX could do that???
Taking a screen shot is easy: just press the Print screen button on your keyboard (above the delete button) and then open Paint or Photoshop or something and click paste. The screenshot will be pasted in. But the toolbar... I can't help you there. Jafo or someone will know!
No, but go into the display properties. Somewhee in there ,you can do so.
You can't take the menus out of windows. It is a rule of windows programming. It cannot be taken out and put elsewhere. Sorry.
Yes, I am downloading this WMP9b now, actually! I found out about it in the WindowsMedia.com newsletter. It's quite good! Now to explore the program...!
Actually, I'm not sure explorer icons can be changed! Unless you hack explorer.exe. Or is it internet explorer? Well, anyway. Umm.. I'll go now...!
Well, in WinXP, it is a small window flying.
What do you mean? I LIKE that blue!
The animated gif is not an animated gif. It is a bitmap with the separate frames (I can't remember exactly how many) all above each other. Search for '*.bmp'.
48x48 is the highest without any other program modifiing anything. 32x32 is normal, but if you go to display properties etc you can get 48x48. I would go for doing 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48 . I don't know if this is a silly question or not, but why do you need a non XP tester?? XP displays older icons fine.
Well, this doesn't help you, but I can load Wincusto just fine in IE6 (& WinXP). Does taking all other browsers off (Opera, Mozilla etc) and repairing IE6 help?
Oh. And a little note: You cannot just rename bmp to ico becuase, althouhg some versions of windows will display OK, it is using a bitmap filter to ashow the image, not a icon one. This means that on some versions (w2k & XP), the transparency does not always show. And of course, it is not the corrent way. Just do what the guys above say (import bmp and save ico). And a couple of icon progs I like: ArtIcons Pro from Ahasoft, and MicroAngelo (umm... who makes that???). <img src="http://im
