Am I the only one who finds www.im2.com not only more STABLE than Trillian but 100% skinnable?... I'd vote for IM2 skins any day of the week. Check out the client, sometime; well worth it, IMO.
Might also want to head on over to SkinArtistry.com - Last I checked they have SkinStudio classes once a week with very capable and talented WindowBlinds authors, like NightTrain and Bones2112. Check it out. A definite must-have, IMO.
Messenger plus is just an add-on to MSN messenger; expands it's capabilities. If you decide to install, PAY ATTENTION to the various "Next" [etc] windows during the installation because you'll come to one where it offers to install a "sponsor program".. MAKE SURE you select "I refuse to install the sponsor program" or it WILL install a bit of adware. Aside from that, MSN Plus! is free and adware free IF you pay attention to the install and not blindly

How do you make a throbber,which program to use? I assume any graphics editor for the throbber itself and an animation studio for the animation itself. Gif Movie Gear really works well. ImageReady [with Photoshop] functions well, too. PSP comes bundled with animation software; all should suffice. <B
