the pipeline took a weird unscheduled diversion into the realms of desktopX scripting and I got lost there for a week or 2 - normal service will be resumed as soon as possible starting to upload again, wall will go when I can get it together in a pack with variants of size and design

Stick at it Phoon, take it element by element, and then one day, out of the blue, you realise that it's finished
Neither objectdock or objectbar are necessarily a replacement for the taskbar tho. They can be great program launchers, offering funcionality that the taskbar cannot offer, and so supplement rather than replace it.
I love objectbar too, and not just for it's ability to replace the start menu. What I would like to see is more devlopment on it, better integration with skinstudio for skinning it, more plug-ins that actually work without crashing it, more features such as the ability to assign 2 or more commands to a single control. Unfortunately it appears that it's development has fallen by the wayside Ob

I think rainlendar may be configured somehow to appear off your screen. This happened to me one time, I don't know exactly how but it was set to be at x,y co-ordinates that were out of my resolutions limits. I think you might be able to edit your rainlendar.ini file, make sure x and y coords are within monitor range and also check that there is no StartHidden=1 line, if there is delete it. If you then restart your pc it may reappear.
Likewise really, apart from the piratey bit If it wasn't for Wincustomize I probably wouldn't have bought an OD subscription - this site is the best showroom for what Stardock products can do and sold me on the idea within a few days.

dabe - I am using the PrtScn button only, no special capture program required. Press PrtScn, above the editing keys, then open paint or a graphics editor of your choosing, new document, ctrl-V (paste).

Jafo...I've not really been around here long enough to know much of the history of specific cases or individuals, I was thinking out loud really based on my own observations and experiences in life. It's just one of those self perpetuating cycles that can be seen from the very small scale to the very large. To enable change in oneself or those around you, you must be willing to accept it and try and maintain an open mind.
people rarely change at all....though they say they will. If a person is a pain in the butt now, it's safe to say he'll be a pain in the butt in the future That may well be true, but it's also true to say that if you don't give a person freedom to change, if you contain them in that conceptual box in your own mind, they are even less likely to c
