Well, I messed up, and submitted a third game for January (unexepectedly winning by Alliance as well). We got us a nice Empire, what with only 9 participants. A couple more months, and I'll be a Senator yet!
Well, since I'm away, look what happens! Top 10! Just submitted my second game for January. Time to rest until February! ;) I figure I have to keep plugging away until I'm in the Senate, so then I can really siphon from the public trough. [Message Edited]

I would tend to agree. I also wish the Senate did more than vote on declaring war... Then again, I'm a political junkie in general anyway, which is why I am waiting patiently for the Political Machine, having upgraded to Drengin.net to get the expansion pack AND PM... :)

Indeed. That's a truly mystifying criticism. I can only imagine what you would say if they did make it available through stores but then raised the price because of the added costs (including, as Brad has pointed out, an increased difficulty in getting paid!).

CariElf, Yes, as a matter of fact, I am using DSL (always on thru my handy-dandy router). If I can be of any assistance in figuring this out, please let me know. It is aggravating. I have always used the same alias, and have successfully submitted games before (as my record shows). Resubmitting does not seem to help.
CariElf, Sorry, I didn't think to preserve my previous save. However, I have a new problem and will sit on the savegame for a while (since I'm getting aggravated by GalCiv). I finished a game, won by Tech Victory, and have tried to submit. Sometimes I get a failure, sometimes (more than once) an apparent success, but it never shows up in my metaverse profile at all. Should I send that save to you?
I just submitted my third game, and to my surprise, it is listed as a loss. It was a win, by Cultural Conquest, and the score is appopriate for a win, but it still is listed as a loss. Whazzup with that?

I'm a political junkie, so anything that gives the United Planets more to do would be lovely! I would also love for the Terran Senate to DO something (pass bills, or whatever) other than sit around and get re-elected every so often. Wait, that DOES sound like real life... :)
