Same thing happened to me and I have tried everything. Even shut off my Microsoft Antivirus defender. Finally gave up and downloaded Custom Shell from google. Does pretty much the same thing and its free. Very disappointed that the update didnt work and even the old version won't reinstall. $4.99 down the drain.

I did the purge dll app now I have lost all my start menu and my bottom task bar. I can't see my desk top and my monitor is bright green. HELP!!!!!

Purge did not work. Still getting the same error. I did the purge then restarted and get the same after reinstalling the newest version even as administrator.
I uninstalled the old version and try installing the 1.9. I keep getting "setup can not create the following folder" C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Start10\Round7 Also it says "We're sorry but the install has failed, would you like to view our help FAQs?" I just want this to work as I've used it for years and never had a problem. I can't even install the old version back on.
