KarmaGirl, that is awfully nice of you. I suspect that you will have to go through 100s of submissions. (99 of them mine) j/k... I hope I have time to create something. It'll probably be a (few) DesktopX objects since that's what I'm good at (though the crowds might disagree) I hope I can come up w

Actually, anyone that buys subscriptions can rate. It's not what you are that makes you able to rate, it's that you have paid. So if the rating range was restricted to actually heavily contributing skinners (hence elites), than we wouldn't have this problem. I think that they would be much less likely to "cheat". I don't know if you paid attention to what I am, but I am at citizen level, also. I just don't like that appearing next to my name. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/

@docx: That's just impossible to make work. The downloads of a skin usually depends a lot on what the skinner wrote in the description. We are not rating the writing abilities of skinners. I usually download anything that looks of interest to me, especially if they are cursors. I would rather rate something AFTER I downloaded it and tried it. Screenshots can be deceiving, but once you have it and you have tried it, there is no deception. I think every skin should be rated by staff, or "

ARGH! The old one worked so much better for me. This one is waaaay too jerky when hiding and showing the dock. I especially noticed one problem which is highly annoying. I have the water background/foreground. The background seems to move first before the foreground so you see a gap between the back and foreground as the dock shows. Kinda screws up the whole experience... I see this release as a step

@KarmaGirl: It's not about confusion or decreased sales. It is still their property and the game cannot even look like monopoly. It's kinda like... uhm... selling a cola drink called Schmoke. I bet you $10Mil that Coke would sue your a$$ out of this world...

I have been fiddling with the scripting in DesktopX 2 and found out that I can't really do any win API calls from the VBScript. So that's not really VBScript now is it? Is there any way of declaring some win API functions from scripts? If so, how? Also I think we have a little disadvantage over the developers and higher chain of command users here since I see them use all kinds of fancy schmancy code in their objects. I don't see any documentation that details the capabilities of the sc

#10, #11, #12: Hmmm, being a coder, I do have to say that coding asp is not rocket science. Coding in VB is even less so... I think what's harder is to code WELL in those languages since it's just too easy to write a program and make it work somehow. Now, if you ask me, I don't think it's too hard to modify the header code to randomly select a graphic, but I can see how that can be a challange to some...

MyIE2 all the way. So much better UI then regular IE UI... For work, though, I need to use Netscape (I have 4.7 and 7 installed) and IE. I even go to some Macs to check if our sites are working fine at different browsers. Sucks that there is no standard between browsers. I mean, from 6 to 7 Netscape changed how they handle vertical alignment of tables!!! Stick to one thing, damit!!!

It can be a user setting, it doesn't have to be on every page load. Compared to the megs and megs of downloads everyone performs (including the screenshots, etc.) I think a new logo download will be comparatively insignificant.

I suggest that WinCustomize adopt a logo development program. Here is how it works: - There is a system for users (us) to submit logo designs for the website. - The website cycles through logos to show a random logo every time a user views a page. - Optionally you can have a logos section where you can view and rate titles, etc. Where did this idea come from? See http://www.pouet.net/. They already have this system and it makes viewing the site a lot of fun...
