My understanding is most "Patches" are save friendly and you can keep playing your current game. The changes like the current cooldown for weapons will not take place till you start a new game. You are usually warned if an update is save breaking, Ramma and Zabik are very good at including that info in the change log. Yesterdays update is save compatible so you need only start a new game for the changes to take effect your save should play w
I really liked the first couple books and they indeed got me hooked enough that I was able to pull myself away from working for a few days on the Stardock Summer vacation at least (10 books in a week is a significant commitment in time). I need a new series.
This happens a lot with series now days. Tied to the fact the writers get paid by the word and many should have been a stand alone boo

Are you trying to look at screens and change things while the AI is taking its turn, or is the game trying to do stuff while it is your turn? If you are trying to do things while the AI is taking its turn you are doing something that the game does not support and never has thus the crash. If this is happening when it is your turn, and it happens every time you play send a save with instructions on how to reproduce it. Again if this is happening during the AI turn
Just a couple of minor bugs I noticed when choosing a couple of different ideologies: EGALITARIANISM - FAIRNESS - Supposed to get "three free colony ships", but I got three colony ships, and two constructor ships. Haven't noticed if this happened in other games, but it happened in my current one PACIFISM - KINDNESS - Not in this current game that I'm playing, but sometimes instead of three constructor ships, I've gotten five constructor ships.
How does that work, btw? Do you send your criminals to constructors and then Outland happens? (The Sean Connery movie, hur hur.) What happens if I put criminals on the Colony ships? I have literally no idea so I'm just randomly assigning people to those ships for the most part.
No I send my high expectation cits to starbases and my high stat cits to colonize. My criminals I throw out the

It's Steam that doesn't have the non-Supernova edition and never will. The 2 platforms are totally compatible because there is only one set of GalCiv IV files on your computer and they share them. Like I said I've had no problem switching between the two befo

Was just reading the error message when I answered at first. You are trying to play an Epic save on Steam? Just a little confused with your post. If yes that would also be a no go as the Epic version and Steam version are two different games. At least versions as Epic is not Supernova and at this time will not be ever. Again just confused by your post. I get that way very easily.
Something is very wrong with the "Goodwill" ship. The captain keeps defecting to the pirates, and every time I kill it, it reappears in my fleet right where I killed it. Then the captain defects again... lather, rinse, repeat.
