With all 4 in the same grid click one and it will bring up a box containing images of your ships. Click on 2 of your transports (assuming you have the logistics for two) and they will become highlighted. Then create fleet with only these two highlighted. Et voilá The Unnofficial GCII Mods S

1. Check to make sure your Virus scanner is not checking every file you are trying to load. You should be able to stop the scanner from checking the game files. 2. Make sure your hard drive is not seriously fragmented 3. In windows task manager check that there are no huge processes running in the background. Also see what your CPU usage percentage is! L inking to images in these forums There appears to be a growing problem in the forums of people linking to images that are far too big to view correctly and are causing the site to look strange and threads to become unreadable! FYI This has been reported by one other person in the 'bugs' thread for the beta.
1. Are you loading up a saved game? If so this may be the cause! Try a new game and see if this helps. 2. May want to update your sound driver as it is fairly old. (if there is a newer one of course)

Before you close try zooming out as far as you can. This saves on the amount of rendering the savegame must do to restart. Changed my load time from 5 mins to 2 mins
Minor annoyance Random Race pick works fine however if you click legend in civ manager it shows you a list of the races. Shouldnt this be blank until you have discovered them. 1. make sure you hav eclicked the 'default' button (kinda hard to see) on your character in Metaverse. 2. Allignment only shows if you have researched up to and chosen an allignment in the game you submit. Hope that answers it for you DG

If you look the preceeding tech to Xeno Economics is also green. You must research the two orange techs to reach the final two improvements. Strange but that is the way the tech tree works

On a more fun note you can add as many custom portraits you wish. As long as they are square it matters not the size as the game will resize for you. Need to be above 100x100 for clarity though Oh and just add them to your /my docs/my games/GCII/portraits folder.
