I have decided to try and do my first AAR in such a way that newcomers to the game might be able to follow what i have done and help give them some insight into the playing of the game. Never really had an issue with Vista since moving over to it wit this laptop. Ultimate home edition runs without any issues other than the odd crash here and there when explorer fails. But that doesnt happen enough to cause me worry. For me i will be sticking to Vista for the foreseable future.

If you are looking for a decent screen-capture program i would suggest reading the review over at Tech Support The site is definitely worth a look as the review the best of the free programs out there on the web in a non-biased way (they actually try them out first :) ) Most of the program allow you to take a screen capture which will then automatically save

Stardock - My one complaint in Galactic Civilizations II Stardock Forums

From a loyal customer, My one complaint about Stardock is not that they produce dreadful games, because they don't, they produce fantastic games. It is not that there aftercare service is terrible, because it is not, it is second to none. It is not even that there forums are a hive of delinquents, because yet again the members of their forums are some of the nicest people i have had the pleasure to chat to. Im in on the 3D view. I have never used the 2D view in any gam ei have played so far. I set the graphics to key 3 and i find it does me fine even on a lowly 19" widescreen laptop. Each to their own though i guess its down to the individuals taste as to what level they set their view to. Just got to love the devs for giving us more than one view to choose from in the game. 3D view for ever LOL [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

I would go for the "buy two copies" scenario but in all honesty unless your parents are both well off i cant see them agreeing to buying a second copy. Most parents would just say "your brother has a copy, use his", so as you are not going out of your way to pirate copies of the game and are using your copy 'in the family' i would not worry about both of you using it at the same time.
