how to put people into a transporter? in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

sorry for my broken english, but i´m german... :) my queation is, how can i put people into transporters? I have never found a button for this or something like that. aomewhere i´ve read, that i can do it if the transporter start from a planet. but when i choose the transporter in the menu and then i give him a waypoint, he just fly to that point, no option for puttting people inside him... can you please help me? (:(
