Yep, really enjoying the game but Im not clear on a lot of the mechanics and I cant seem to find any documentation. For example, in a game where I had a large empire some of the planets I conquered always stuck at approval 0 no matter how many entertainment centres I built. The number never went up so they didnt rebel but I couldnt understand why. Likewise a number of planets controlled by other races had an approval of zero, had zero percent in rebellion but the figure never went up even tho

Its happened to me twice now. Im early on in the game. Ive researched one or two techs but then when I go into the research screen the monitor goes black. I can still hear the music and I believe the game is still running as if I press the escape key I can hear the music change. I only get a few turns per play before having to kill the game. I was a beta tester and I did not download a fresh copy of the game on release (dont think I should have to).
Also the sound affect drop out after a while. The music continues but space battles are silent and there are no sounds when clicking buttons or building on tiles.
Ive just had the game bomb out three times in a row on the same spot. When I build my first transport the into video pops up, plays for a second and then crashes at the same point every time. Im also noticing slowdown in gameplay after a while in a medium size galaxy including glitchy behaviour from the slider for the list of colonies and moving the map around. I have 16 gigs of ram.
In fact you could have hero spymasters with talent trees for inciting unrest, taking out enemy heroes or performing counterintelligence/guarding against assassinations.
I was just reading through some of the suggestions other people are making, espionage being one. Given the penalty of wounds for heroes assassination would be a viable tactic up until the late game when healing potions are available and affordable. Something to increase unrest in cities to slow production.
actually even atmospheric voice overs for the current quests would be a marked improvement for me. Another thing would be if there was pics for each city type at each level. The current graphics are a bit cartoony but it would be cool if there were some cool images for each level of fortress for example. Maybe some graphical animations for city spell affects. I havent noticed any graphical differences when spells are cast on cities (for example, wall of fire or th
I'd like to see expanded lore on the quests and heroes, really flesh them out. I think the skill trees were a great addition, anything that could expand these and add more flavour (skills and spells). Is there anyway to currently change the colour of a faction without making your own? Small thing but I usually play as markin - great army, really not digging the yellow (probably supposed to be gold but looks yellow). Maybe some animations around quests. The mechanics are there I feel but t
As I mentioned in another post I would like to see some sort of system to automate constructors as I find it tedious to work with large amounts of them in late games. If you could assign a governor to starbases and select that governor on a planet, any constructors produced by that planet would head off to the nearest starbase with the same governor that had space for more modules. There's probably a better way of automating the constructors though.
didnt have that in particular but had an occassion where my transports and death knights were not visible on the map or unit list in the bottom corner. They existed, and I could select them - just couldn't see them ! I exited out of the game and reloaded and it fixed the problem.
Some sort of govenor for constructors would be great. I haven't been playing the game long, at the moment I'm using culture palaces ( 2 per sector, major cheese ! ) and it's extremely repetitive to use the constructors. The rally points are more trouble than they are worth. If you could have a governor to look after the constructors it'd be much handier. Basically you would give the governor a list of priorities ( ie add culture modules, add mining modules etc ). You would then click on
