Naroon- WindowBlinds 11 could still be right behind Start 11. Start 11 still isn't finished, the taskbar is going to receive an overhaul and I bet that WindowBlinds 11 will use that. Kind of like how uxthemepatcher uses "startisback" to get their themes running on windows 11. Right now some of the best customization for windows 11 is actually the tiles / icons for the latest build of Start 11. I find the new custom images a must have and I really hope windowblinds 11 accommoda

Windows 11 was not in Beta for very long though..MS did most the work already when they where trying to build a lightweight OS in an attempt to compete with google. Therefore, Windows 11 kind of flew through Beta pretty fast. Realistically, Windows 11 left Beta way to fast, it wasnt finished. Thank goodness stardock isnt doing that with start 11 As for the subscription. It is a year long and Stardock will be releasing a whole lot of stuff in that time. That is why it is a subscription
The last Windows 11 DEV build broke some stuff and looks like it just pushed back all development 2 weeks. The next DEV build looks to be Windows 11 big one for the year code named Sun Valley 2. It is rumored to have even more taskbar changes and this could unfortunately set back de

Don - Yeah I get that. Sometimes it can be unpredictable where Stardock is really going to spend its resources. For example, so far Start 11 has received the bulk of developers attention compared to everything else. It can make you wonder if any other programs will receive the same level of care. I do think there could be an upside though, with all the work that is being done with the start menu and taskbar, there is also a lot that could be done with Windowblinds 11 that is new. Obvi
Am I correct in understanding that Start 11 can save or recreate the Windows 10 start menu including tiles
There are several different ways to customize tiles in start 11. If you already use custom tiles there is a way to carry it over using the "static tile image" option. But, the newest way is probably the best way to get custom images. In either windows 10 or 11 themes you can now chose a custom image simply by clicking an icon and then selecting custom image.

As artists I am sure you are waiting in suspense for the new tool to finally drop as that will be a huge game changer as far as traffic goes and will allow a lot more people to cus

Starkers - You are the second person I have seen that has complained about the hp 2 in 1 running Windows 11 poorly. I have an Asus Zenbook 2 in 1 myself and the update went very smoothly. I do know that Windows 11 seemed to have made some changes in regards to the GPU and they left it completely up the gpu makers to fix it. If you are able to update your gpu that should fix it, if it does not have an update yet then that does sound like a conspiracy to force a new laptop purchase. The
The taskbar functionality of StartAllBack is excellent
Not really though. All startallback does is hack the system registry to trick Windows 11 into downloading Windows 10's taskbar. This is also what explorerpatcher does, but at least explorerpatcher owns up to what it does. Unlike those two programs, start 11 will actually BUILD a taskbar rather then HACK one. It takes more time to do that. Start 11 runs circles aro

I found something new that is less radical that can be played around with When I select explorer.exe to add to the exception list and then select "enable if you get a bad image error" then I can run windowblinds 10 on Windows 11 WITH the command bar without it crashing (at least in the one theme I have tried so far). Instead there are occasional im

Old New explorer is a nice addition and makes the ribbon menu look a lot better, but on Windows 11 I am having transparency issues with some of the lettering when themes are applied Edit - old new explorer is kind of sticky and can cause people problems if they decide to uninstall. Use with caution. It is a registry edit program

StartAllIsBack and explorerpatcher pretty much are the same thing only StartAllIsBack also includes a windows 7 styled start menu. I use explorerpatcher because it has 100 percent compatibility with start 11, which StartAllIsBack does not.

Windows 11 DEV build is considered a different OS then Windows 11 and Windows 11 BETA. Windows 11 DEV is a sandbox for experimentation for things that may or may not be included in Windows 11. A few months back I did a clean install to get rid of the DEV build, I believe that is the only way. I did not like the direction of the DEV build because it was breaking too many things and it was watermarked and set to expire making it feel like an online only OS. To do a clean install you can

Strange thing is; the Stardock developers actually read the forum here and incorporate things that the users want. Microsoft tries their best to ignore the users because they think they know best. So yeah there are some annoyances but there are also some good solutions as well.</p
