Heya MM, where ya been? Regarding your article, I hear ya. It seems to be human nature to tear down the tallest tree in the forest. All the other trees want the light! But they don't understand that when you tear down the tallest tree, the next tallest tree just takes its place. Once upon a time, I think all the "helping" was done for mostly the right reasons. these days? Well, I don't really trust our government anymore,

One thing you seem to have that is paramount in the long term success of anything is positive energy. Keep on with that above all and you'll get where you want to go. Congrats on your progress!
I only sided with you because I saw letting a precident be set for legally pursuing someone outside of the site as a bigger threat than a spammer.
For the record, I don't think Era saying that I or anyone else hates someone is a big deal outside of the fact that it isn't true. I told Asaxygirl that if the Navy is so shallow as to take the word of this guy for any purpose whatsoever, then I didn't want anything to do with them. The "get a law

I get email on Spore news. I've been following the development of this game since it received such high acclaim at E3 - what - almost 3 years ago now? So I heard about this editor pretty quickly after they decided to go this route, and I've been trying to sort out what I think about it ever since then. I think I've come to a conclusion. I'm for it. I don't think the 10$ is really purchasing game content. If it were solely that, then I would agree that they are charging twice for th

None of this was ever about having anyone banned or exiled. I do not support that line of reason. The guy has posted 117 articles in 27 days. That's 4.33 per day since he came here 27 days ago. It affects the visibility of other members here. If each of those ((or hell, even HALF...gah...if even ONE) articles was rich with content, it would be easier to swallow the fact that some articles that are rich with content are getting buried. When so many people all point a

He thinks I hate him. I don't. I don't even know him, and I'm not a hateful person. He has seen the last of me on his blogs though - which will save him precious deleting time, so I'm sure that's welcome.
I do believe in Karma...but I don't call it that..kinda what goes around comes around....what you sew you reap....that kind of thing.
Loosely defined, that's exactly what karma is. The Buddhists (and Hindus, I think) involve this life and that life in it, but if the mechanism actually exists, I see no reason why it would be limited to different lives.

With the recent addition of a "Karma" button, I was reminded of a story from my college days. I am not sure whether I really believe in karma as a functional system that is truly in action, but this story is definitely an example that it's at least possible, and it's something I'm fond of reminiscing about 20+ years later The year is 1985. The place is in a parking lot just up a hill from a football field where the University of South Carolina Marching Band

I'd actually prefer that others get to keep replying to you, Era, because they find it extremely entertaining from what I can tell. I would hate for that fun to get ruined on princliple, but a line has to get drawn somewhere. It is this thing that InBloom just said that you don't seem to understand.
And in this writing community, it would only be decent of you to respect the fact that others want their stuff read and not have to worry about being bu

The Coalition for the Suppression of Disrespectful Bloggers is hereby formed. It is based on the following idea: It is our replies that encourage negative behavior, and even though it IS fun to take blind shots and still hit the target in the bullseye because the bullseye is about as big as the universe itself, it is having the side affect of hampering the enjoyment of our own collective space. So take the oath with me - either here, or on Tova's a

After talking about this briefly with my wife (asaxygirl for those who didn't know) I have decided to found the Coalition for the Suppression of Disrespectful Bloggers. To join this coalition you must simply realize one thing: It is our replies that encourage negative behavior, and even though it IS fun to take blind shots and still hit the target in the bullseye because the bullseye is about as big as the universe itself, it is having the side affect of hampering the enjoymen

Just to make the point, I didn't know a similar article to this one even existed until it came up in the "Recent comments" list. And while that isn't unusual for me because I don't hang out on JU consistently, I think it still speaks to my point. Any readers of this article, please also read this article by Tova7 .

I can't imagine how I missed your article Tova (sarcasm). I just wrote one myself on the same thing. I'm going back to it right now to add a comment linking your article just so this "idea" gets further dissemination. Karma coming to you for this article.

I came to JoeUser in September of 2003. Those that have been here a similar amount of time have seen my "activity" on the site wax and wane with seeming randomness. My participation has been "random" because I haven't had any goal in mind for my blogging. I originally joined when blogging was in its infancy and just wanted a place to spew whatever was on my mind. It has served me well. Over time, I saw that this wasn't a universal goal. Som

Maybe you just didn't know that when a cats claws are removed, their "fingers" (what you'd call fingers if you saw the skeleton) are amputated at the first digit. Edit: I see SanChonino covered this more thoroughly.
God's time is not our time, Zoo. God's time is not our time.
Can't remember which singing comic sang this song, but it always gave me a chuckle. This is paraphrased - it's been a while. So the man said to God, "What's a million years to you?" And God said..."A second." So the man said to God "What's a million dollars to you?" And God said..."A penny." So the man said to G

I remember my first baby. It was kind of like having a cat. Pretty cute usually. But then when he turned two he started getting into everything so I took him to the doctor and had all his fingers cut off. Man...it was so funny watching him try to scratch his ears with those bandages all over his little stumps.

I dunno if anyone has said it, yet, SetarcosNous, but welcome to JU. So far I've found all of your comments interesting and thoughtful.
So perfect things can choose to become imperfect?
