Banned because I finally shut down GalCiv...so I could belatedly opt-in to the 1.1 patch

Same to you Elana. I'm getting some slightly stuttery fireworks by following my tradition of starting a GalCiv version on hardware that's very close to minimum sys reqs. Finally installed FE Legendary Heroes a couple of days ago, but the magic of starships (evidently including Carriers! ) is proving a stronger lure to time-wasting [e classic];)[/e]
I'll sign on to request the 'restoration' of the function for GC3.
This was something that was brought up quite a few times during alpha/beta, but the devs decided that not to include it. Maybe if enough people ask for it post-release, they'll add it in a patch.
Buck, any chance that was a public discussion on the boards here that you could point me to? I'm curious about whether the decisio

Thanks.
Still kind of hoping for an official/TPTB response. If the survey is mainly for the non-game customer base, that's fine by me, but I don't want to miss it if it's also intended to capture opinions from Stardock game customers. The 'UI' here is beyond non-intuitive, at least for me, because I've never seen it...
Mine dates back to Civ I. I played many games where I built the Manhattan Project mainly to add the piddly graphic to a single city's image, and I dutifully built a 'deterrent' infrastructure because I (still) have a vague respect for the MAD doctrine. But on one sad day, a stupid AI lobbed one of its scant handful of nukes at my realm and we retaliated by nuking every major city in that AI civ. Cocktails and college class deadlines were involved in the decision-maki

Have you tried re-installing Works? If the launcher exe got corrupted 'normally,' that should fix the problem. Also, have you checked for any updates to Windows/IE that might have been applied since the last time the launcher worked for you? You might be able to use System Restore to step back out and see if that is what broke the launcher on your rig. Or, as Rudebaz implied, have you considered ditching that Built-to-Sell-Office suite and using something like OpenOffice, or,
Thanks, Dave. I'm still hoping for an answer from TPTB, or maybe just an update to that options page that explains what to expect with each one that you enable.

Not just in terms of hot keys but just general navigation through the game. Fallen Enchantress is a game that you “might” play 10 hours straight. Ah, so the best trade routes are between distant troop or tax farms. Thanks, Marvin.

You need a serious numbers person to chime in here. I've never tested things methodically, but I've read lots from folks who do. From my reading of various threads on the topic, the trade route is it's own thing. The planets at either end are irrelevant except for their distance from each other. The Econ Capital only increases tax revenues on the one planet. The only improvements that boost trade income are on starbases, AFAIK.
Just curious--did the size of the thread finally get too large, or was it zapped for some moderation reason? Part of me is glad that it's gone because I can't believe how bad my regular time-wasting habit got there, but dammit, it had regular fun moments.
Banned for a definitely not kosher ban.
