WB can do most of the things you said, but for the transparencies and shadows you will need a different program. Windowblinds has a transparency plugin, but you have to set the level of transparency yourself. Alternatively, you can get a program called WindowFX, also made by Stardock that can do most of the things you asked for dealing with transparency and shadows...plus all it's other features. That will leave you with double scrollbars and random desktop images. Not too bad, huh? <b

What got me into skinning originally was the work of guys like Steve Moss, Pordey, Fli7e, Misery...at the original Customize.org when looking for cool new Winamp skins. I wasn't heavily involved back then...just another freeloader, so I can't really compare it to now, but I do think it was more 'pure', if there is such a thing.

Couple of guesses... 1) Check that you don''''t have it turned off by mistake. Go to WB Config->My Animations and see what''s Selected there. 2) Are you using the shareware version? It might be a feature that''s disabled in the shareware version. [Message Edited]

Well, each theme is configured differently, but most of the time, you can right-click on the shortcut you want to customize, and in it's properties you can change it to a number of different things. All customizing in DX can be done in the properties screen. I suggest you play around to see all the different things you can do...as there is just too many to explain on here. Here's Stardock's doc

I don't think that's possible, the keyboard controls are controlled by IntelliType, you need to see if you can customize the shortcuts in there to do what you want, though I have a Microsoft keyboard and you'll find IntelliType is limited in it's customizing ability.

My dollar goes to Sektor. Out of all the skins submitted, Sektor is the most original, yet functional skin. Antares is simply superb, but it suffers from TOO many features, Sektor has lots of animation and just the right amount of features, making it good for everyday use. Of all the skins submitted to this contest, Sektor was my favorite, and the one I've used on my system the longest. :)
