Enjoy the version of Yz Dock that you have. Apple's cease and desist order to the maker is in full effect, and I read there will be no forthcoming versions of the application, and besides I think object dock is better anyway, but that's just my 2 cents worth.

I would agree with all suggesting 256+ megs of ram for XP. I had a rig with 128 and XP, it was not pretty. I mean it runs ok, but XP needs room to stretch I guess, the more ram you have with it, the better. Just buy more ram, its cheap ,and easy to install.

Persoanlly I like the GANT icons so much, I just changed my Windows shell style to a GANT shell style, was a little tricky but it works.I was also noticing in screenshots how the icons were different, and I did a little reading up and it wasn't that hard to do .

I use both Windowblinds and a uxtheme patch. I tried StyleXP and it just simply isn't a good product.

I use the Intellimouse Explorer Optical, I dont know what it is about this mouse, I have tried others but I like this one ALOT.I don't think I could ever go back to a ball mouse , it would be like driving a new BMW for a year then driving an old Pinto-lol

I would have to say what pop ups? I have been using Firebird and Opera for so long, I think pop ups are thing of the past. But I am glad to see something being done. Now if they would just go after those email spammers and slap them all very hard...........

I read this story and I was in disbelief. The question I asked to myself is " What took em so darn long?!" I mean its no secret that MS has money to burn , why not do something like this? I would equate it with something we have locally here called Crimestoppers, whereby anyperson can phone in anonymous tips on crimes , etc, for a reward. I am for it, and I think its a good idea.

I have used OSX machines,they are very nice, but I cut my teeth on Windows boxes, so I would have to go with XP. It has to be the most stable version of Windows ever(post SP1 anyway) can't wait for "Longhorn", I hope it's even better.

Oh and Diskeeper Lite is the built in defrag in WinXP btw..(just open defrag then click help,then about,its made by Executive Software)it isnt so hot, but Diskeeper Pro is a champ, I really like the set it and forget it feature, really useful.

I have a 2.2ghz Celeron w/256 megs of RAM and I do not experience any problems with WB or anything else I run on this rig, which is a Gateway btw.

I have never tried mailwasher..Honestly I am not that big a fan of IE or Outlook..won't get into that as it is off topic....Incredimal is a good app, its just the tiny spyware issue with it.

OK I know people want those nifty animated emails that Incredimail can create, however there is that issue of privacy and Outlook Express is a good email client, yet there are zillions of viruses that target it specifically, so I wouldnt(don't) use it.Thunderbird is an excellent free email program, and it will work with webmail..there's an app called Hotopop for Hotmail and YahooPOPs that allow you to send or recieve email for these web based services for free. Firebird does not have an "identify as" option that I am aware of..I have it set as my default and when I click any links I get Firebird all the time.. And thanks IP for the mention of the graphics, I do not get a chance to look at the Monthly Desktops ,because being on 56k, you can imagine how long it takes to load....
